I hope all of you had a good Halloween since mine decided to trick me this year. It started Sunday morning with a dull ache in my lower left back. I had work that afternoon so I took a couple of Tylenol and went to it. Halfway through it I had to come back to my apartment and lie down after taking something stronger since the pain just got worse. I made it back to work and finished but the pain still kept getting worse.
At first I thought I had just managed to pull a muscle in my back but then I was up all Sunday night/Monday morning since the pain just kept increasing. By 6am I was hurting so bad that I started throwing up. I had to ask my roommate to take me to the ER since at this point I suspected an infection or something more serious.
That something else turned out to be a Kidney stone that was passing through my system. And that thing (pardon my French) hurt like a Bitch, big time. They loaded me up on anti nausea stuff and pain meds straight into my system via IV and though it did help it just couldn't keep the pain down very well.
Once they knew what was going on I got something else to help numb that area where the stone is passing and then I got to sit there most of the morning being loaded up with fluids, antibiotics and another hefty pain shot. =_= That was one hell of a miserable morning for me and I wasn't released until about 1pm on Monday.
Fortunately my roommate also picked up my meds from WalMart and took me back home. I was in no shape to drive myself anywhere. And even with the meds I couldn't sleep more than half an hour to an hour at a time (mainly cause I had to keep loading up on fluids so that meant restroom runs all the time).
So here it is Tuesday afternoon and that stone finally passed through my system. I'm utterly exhausted right now. From lack of decent sleep and my system feeling like someone took a stick and just beat my left side up for hours and hours.
I did at least manage to switch chat colors back today but I'm not sure I'll feel up to much else until I get some decent sleep in. {[(-_-)]}zzzzZZZZ
