I’m sure some of you remember the drama over the member Kohaku-Dono who literally created over 160+ dummy accounts just to make them the number one person on the site member list. If you don’t remember, just take a look here: Member Drama
In response to that a new update was posted in regards to members making dummy accounts for that kind of nonsense. That was fairly recent but if you didn’t see the update go and take a quick look to see what I mean. E-mail Confirmation Now Required
Now I’m sure I don’t need to explain my title for this post anymore. Adam’s explanation about how we are going to be cracking down HARD on people who make fake dummy accounts - has begun. In other words, some members when they sign in again, I won’t say who, are going to find a pm from me waiting for them.
My advice to anyone who reads this and has lots of dummy accounts? Delete them immediately. If you end up in my hands… you’re screwed. Not only will you still have to get rid of the accounts anyway, you’ll have a permanent mark on your name in my file. That basically tells me and any other staff member on the site that you can’t be trusted to be honest.
Now if you only have one or two, I’m not going to give you grief for the simple reason that some people had two before the launch of VV. Like Aaryanna and her Desbreko Fanclub world. We didn’t have the ability to have separate worlds then and I can look at that account and see that it doesn’t get used to vote on submissions or to make comments or subscribe to lots of people to boost their stats. Anything else though… especially when you start hitting five and up… I’ll bust you for it. Oh and that is not a free pass to make up to five dummy accounts. I’m just saying that depending on the circumstances, I won’t worry over it.
Anyway, now that I got that process underway it's time to sit back and see what happens. Considering the track record of one of the members, I’m expecting it to be a royal pain in the butt. Well more for them than for me since I like my job.
