Well like I said in my last post, I've been catching up while also dealing with the rest of the stuff surrounding my Grandmother passing on. No big deal really since Adam knows what's going on and that other than a few things like the last celebrity chat, all I've done is enough to keep things from getting too far behind.
Anyway, so this morning, when I finally got all the reports caught up, I went and took a look at all the new submissions. Imagine my surprise to see a familiar fan art that has been ripped quite a few times. Now the real surprise wasn't that it was posted but this little bit here in the description of the wallpaper. I've trimmed the screenshot so you can't see their name.
Now normally I just ignore this kind of petty immaturity, but when it's a member who not only is an adult but knows better... You can bet said person got a stiff warning that further nonsense like that will get their account frozen.
Sure you could argue that the report on it went for a week without getting taken down, but seriously, the excuse that someone else got to so "I should too" is stupid and juvenile. Plus it reflects poorly on your attitude.
Like I said in the pm to them, I think people forget that moderators don't live at theOtaku and that OMG we actually have real lives that can't be ignored. Oh and in closing.
Just because someone essentially runs a red light, don't be a dork and do the same just because it's "not fair" that they didn't get caught when you did. I expect that kind of thing from the members who are still growing up and learning, not the ones who supposedly are adults.
On another note though, other than quiz approvals, I finally have everything else caught up.
