I'm sure I'm not the only one who loves this holiday. I may not go trick or treating anymore but I love Halloween. It's just too much fun to dress up, watch scary movies or get together with friends. So I always look forward to it. And since I'm here, be sure to wish both Rachmaninoff and Indi a Happy Birthday, though I'm thinking many of you already have. Hehe.
Now to the bit on what's going on around here. I worked on the submission reports and got them all caught up other than one. Which considering how many there were, was a good thing. Then I went through the quiz section and sadly, I didn't find anything that was publishable. I'm feeling the urge to start whacking people over the heads here.
I really need to get a quiz guide up since I hate turning down a quiz simply because they used fan art in the answer images. XP That just drives me a bit batty since we haven't had much in the way of decent quiz material lately. I've been gathering screen shots to make my own quizzes just so I'll have some quizzes to approve!
I'm not kidding either, the last little bit has been terrible. Horribly written questions, image results that either had terrible spelling, pixilated images, fan art, or all of the above! I'm thinking I'm going to take a screen shot next time just to use as an example of what NOT to do. Seriously.
On the flip side, since I finished up that banner/avatar set for Sabrina, it lead to embarking on a mission to make specialized sets for everyone in the Shinigami Dance rpg. ^^ So I've been doing that too. I made one for Indi and I'm working on one for Darren and myself.
And though I know that those of you who are hooligans will laugh at this, I decided to work with the picture for Allamorph's npc Victor. Apparently the artbook that image is from, only has the one picture. Here's the thing... even though it's flawed since I'm not that great at altering pictures, (plus it won't matter since making the image smaller for a banner will make the flaws irrelevant, as in you won't be able to see them). It's still has the same bloody effect! Only worse!
So the point is... I so shot myself in the foot by spending time working with that picture. I know I'm going to get laughed at even more for this... but HELL!!! This last alteration:
Why the hell does such a simple change make me want to bang my head on my desk! Gahhhhhhhhhhhhhh! It's a freakin' drawing and not even a real person! One of these days Allamorph (you for making the character) and Indi (you for finding that damn picture to begin with)...
I will get revenge on both of you, this I swear. ._.
