No header image today since I'm going to be sharing some screen shots from when I go through quizzes for the site. I thought it would be instructive to see what I look at first before I even take a glance at the questions or the actual quiz. You see I look at the image results first. One of the biggest reasons is I get stuff like this:
Now sure the images are cute, but there's nothing to it. No short little you are so and so with a tiny bit of info on their traits or such. Nothing at all. So unless you know the series or the characters, that kind of answer is utterly useless. So, I deny those immediately.
Same with this one too, it's like they simply stuffed in images they found online without bothering to do anything to clean them up. Nothing to turn them into a real result for a quiz
Another big no no is stealing, like this here:
Now at first glance it looks like they did everything they are supposed to have done. They extracted the images from the artbook scan, they took the time to say who the person got, and they have a decent paragraph about the character. But! They didn't make it.
That's actually quiz results that I made when I first joined theOtaku. They're from the Sailor Moon quiz I submitted back in 2005. You see even though the older quizzes didn't transfer over to the new version, we still host the image results to them so places like myOtaku and this: Clicky still have the image results showing.
So yeah, there's no way I'm going to approve images ripped from my own quiz no less. lolz So there you have it. I always look at image results first since it doesn't matter how good the questions are, I can't alter the images that were uploaded. If those are poorly done, the quiz does not go through.
