College life whining and a peek at a WIP

Hello, everyone! Felt that I should update with something from my life once in a while since this is, after all, a blog. I've tried my best to keep up with all the notifications, but some of you update so often that I can't get to all on time >_< So don't fret if you submit something and see a comment from me a month later. I swear this has happened before. But I'll be commenting if solely to traumatize as many people as I can with my new avatar <3

Concerning college, well, lately I've had the problem of simply not caring about some courses; I don't know, it's like the teachers aren't even bothering this semester (I've noticed this for both colleges I'm attending). Today I finally took the Spanish test we'd been postponing for at least a month - there always seemed to be too few students present (most of them dropped out of it anyway, and the majority of the rest just didn't give a shit).

Now I'm lucky enough to have had a very good teacher of Spanish in high school, who knew how to teach properly; if I relied only on the woman that's teaching now...I don't even want to imagine it. Today, while we were doing some exercises, we'd each read a sentence and fill in some verbs at the correct tenses. What annoyed me was the fact that she wouldn't pay attention the first time someone read - when the next person was getting ready to read their part, this woman would start from the beginning of the phrase, repeat every word and explain every single verb, even though most of the uses were similar.

It might not seem like much, but it's very annoying when you're cold and sleepy and ill and just want to get the hell out of there and go home (at this point, I'm thankful for still being able to breathe from my nose). On the other hand, I'm happy I finally took this test - honestly, if I knew we were going to postpone it so much, I wouldn't have even showed up for those classes (reason mentioned above, and this woman gets sidetracked even often than me).

In other news, me and my team (my team and I?) had to present a project for World Economy on Friday (about the economical and political situation of China). As usual, we got to work on it a few days before the actual presentation date, since two of them have jobs and attend a college at the same time, and me and the other girl attend two colleges at the same time. It turned out better than expected, but at one point the teacher said this: "Did you [the other members of the team] even read what you wrote? Or did Olivia do all the work?" Not many things can leave me speechless, but I felt as if the woman had slapped me. I knew that all of us had worked hard on this, gathering data and even some trivia to keep the other students from getting bored, and she just tossed it aside like that.

The first class with her didn't even happen, since we went to college like idiots and there a woman told us she was out of the country. The second class she demanded we write the attendance on a piece of paper, but also write a telephone number/e-mail address AND the other college we were attending, if any. I don't know about you, but I smell discrimination or, at best, a very nosy woman. Anyway, I'm happy that another project is out of the way - what the hell is with these people anyway? Everyone's suddenly asking for projects, and right before exam period is about to start >:o I do not approve of this.

(As a side note, distance learning is awesome because the people are more mature and the double-college students are from very diverse fields, such as Medicine, Maths, Military or, in my case, Letters/Human Resources.)

Um, I should wrap it up with an image, this post is too barren. Here's an image of a project I'm working on. Of course, now that I announced it, I will be leaving it to collect dust.
