You may or may not know that Japanese mangaka get plagiarized all the freaking time by other Asian artists looking to make a quick buck for cheap novels. CLAMP are probably the most plagiarized out there (TBH they have a ton of illustrations so it's no surprise).
An interesting case of plagiarism was the Kayono vs. Kazusa Takashima one from a few years back; isn't that pic lovely? Kazusa sued Kayono and lost; she had to stop publishing manga for a couple of years (public image costs added to this), while Kayono went on her merry way to churn out more shitty shoujo manga - I've read her stuff, it's not impressive.
So today, while trawling MT for tagging tasks, I came across a gallery of lovely images (because they are lovely): Wall Flower Girl, a Vietnamese light novel. Now take a look at these:
