Black Tea

I thought I should make a post telling you all about Black teas. First off, it is made from the same plant as your generic green, oolong and white teas, the difference is how the plant is processed.

Black tea comes from the fermented leaf of the Camellia sinesis plant. Depending on the time of year the plant is harvested and the origin of the plant, its flavors will range from full, rich and robust, to light and delicate. The colors of brewed black tea run from ambers to gold.

Tea is also a source of potassium and when taken on its own, is fat and calorie free. It also contains fluoride, which helps to make your teeth stronger, the flavoniods in the tea will also help stop plaque, which in turn leads to prevent gum disease and reduce bad breath.
