Dunkin Donuts Green Tea Review

Color:
I wouldn't say that this tea is green. The color is reminiscent of a white tea. Green tea is usually, you know, green. If I wanted white tea, I would go back to drinking my favorite White Peony, but this is a surprise.
Scent:
This smell has a very similar smell to the Dunkin Donuts regular tea. When I first smelled this tea, it felt like something was burning. I heated the water to the proper green/white tea temperatures, but something feels off here. It's almost like the Dunkin Donuts regular tea, except that it's more subtle because it's "green".
I don't know if that burning sensation is from the green tea leaves.
Flavor:
Again, it has that same bland taste that the regular tea has. There's nothing too special or different about this tea, except that it has a slight sweetness at the back-end, but that's it. This is an atrocity in the tea world to sell a tea that supposedly is green tea, but it isn't. It's just a weaker version of the regular tea.
Overall:
I'm disappointed because Dunkin Donuts is essentially selling the same tea. It just has a different color, but the flavor is the same. There is nothing beneficial about this tea. The only way that you can somehow manage to enjoy this tea is if you add sugar and milk, but I'm not going that low just to enjoy a tea that is genuinely bad.

Dunkin Donuts Regular Tea

Scent:
First and foremost. This tea has a very weird smell. I'm almost reminded of the smell of a couch five minutes after a dog has been sitting on it after playing around outside. It doesn't smell right. Let me just say that for a black tea, this has to be one of the more unpleasant ones I've smelled. I don't get any sweetness at all. It reminds me of dried sweat that's been left on hay to dry. It's smells artificial and flavorless.
I'm not surprised that they called this regular tea instead of black tea. I really have no idea what kind of tea this is. It's far from regular. Just know that if this smell was lingering around my house all day, I probably would open a window as soon as possible. To me, it has a very flour, hay, and barnyard-like smell.
Flavor:
The flavor isn't as bad once you get past the scent. The front end of this tea is very bland and weird. The mid palate reminds me of paper for some reason. The after taste leaves something really bitter and dry on my back end. Maybe that's why I was reminded of paper.
Overall:
This tea is very bland. I'm happy that Dunkin Donuts decided to call this tea regular because it doesn't really deserve to be called black tea. I can see why people put milk and sugar in their teas at Dunkin Donuts because this tea by itself will make anyone want to get these additives.

Foxtrot Review

It is an herbal cocktail of Egyptian chamomile, South African Rooibos and fresh peppermint leaves. A soothing blend of familiar tastes that produces a pleasantly original combination. It is entirely caffeine-free. The spring in your step is due entirely to its enticing taste.

This is a tea or rather a tea blend, that I saw on Adagio awhile ago. It's a mix of chamomile, rooibos, and peppermint. Fortunately for me, these were teas that I already owned. So what's wrong with blending them all together?
Color:
I have to say something about the color. It's really different because it's a blend of course. It reminds me of a black tea that has been steeping for only a minute or two because it's not as dark. It has more of an orange hint to it as well. It's a very interesting color. Very fun and original for an herbal blend.
Scent:
I'm not surprised that the peppermint is the strongest component that I'm smelling from this blend. I feel as if the rooibos scent adds a small depth because of its subtlety. I'm getting a very small hint of the chamomile, but it's hardly there. It could be that bit of sweetness that I'm getting. It's a great smell because it isn't as strong as the peppermint tea by itself.
Taste:
I feel as if the rooibos and the peppermint flavors go hand in hand. The peppermint has a sharp taste to the blend, but the rooibos component adds more texture to this tea. Some more wood so to speak because drinking rooibos reminds me of wood in a way.
The front of this tea is a huge onslaught by the piercing flavor of the peppermint. The mid palate, I taste some of the chamomile and the grainy rooibos component. At the back end, there's a subtle sweet feeling on my tongue after drinking. When you're finished, the peppermint will leave a very fresh feeling in your mouth. I haven't had chamomile by itself yet, but something tells me that it's a sweet tea.
Overall:
This is a great tasting tea. Since I blended it myself, I probably would add less peppermint, but overall, it's an amazing tea that anyone can enjoy. It's perfect for the afternoon and evening before bedtime. I say this about a lot of teas, but this tea is extremely refreshing. It's decaf too, so what are you waiting for? Buy it!

Apricot Green Review

Green tea from China with the delicate flavors of apricots. Makes a light and refreshing drink that's popular both hot and iced. If you are new to green tea, this lightly flavored tea may be a good place to start.

Smell:
The smell is phenomenal. I'm definitely reminded of apricots here. It's slightly subtle and it's very sweet. If you like apricots, you will love how this smells. This is what I enjoy from most teas. I believe that the warmness of a tea's scent adds so much.
Taste:
This tea arrives upfront at you with that basic green tea flavor. I wished Adagio added more details to what kind of green tea they blended the apricots with. The only detail they put out is that it's from China. On the mid palate of this tea, you will get that subtle sweetness from the apricots. This tea goes down very smooth as well.
The aftertaste is very interesting. It's as if the apricots leave a fresh sensation in your mouth. It's hard to describe. It's especially great right after the smooth transition from the back end palate of this tea. It's a slight invigorating feeling in your mouth when you're done. You may or may not notice it, but it's very refreshing.
Overall:
This is a good tea for any loose green tea beginner to try out. Even if you don't like apricots, you will appreciate the sweetness that is provided by them here. It's not a strong apricot flavor either, so don't get too nervous. This is a smooth and relaxing green tea to have on a afternoon.
Although I love the subtlety of white teas, I'm slowly getting accustomed to green teas like these. And obviously, this was something different from the Genmai Cha I reviewed awhile ago, even though that was a green tea, haha.

TeaUpdate 003
Hello everyone. No tea review today, even though it's now officially TeaThursday for TeaOtaku. I know it's corny, but I'll only be posting tea reviews or updates every Tuesday or Thursday. You know, tea starts with T and so on and so on. The main reason why is the economy (Just kidding). Well, I am kind of low on cash, so I have to slim down a bit and buy less often.
But while I wait, I have a list of teas that I'm excited to try out. I currently have these on my cart on Adagio.com. I cannot wait to taste these.
Gunpowder:
It's not gunpowder, although that would be interesting. This tea from China is pellets of hand-rolled green tea leaves.
Spearmint:
Peppermint's brother/sister, whatever. I love Stride spearmint gum, but will I like this one?
Lemongrass:
As the name implies. It supposedly has a hint of lemon AND ginger.
White Blueberry:
I love white teas, but blueberries with my white tea? Sounds very delightful.
Sour Apple:
I need a new herbal tea. This will be fun to try out.
Citron Green:
This is ranked 4th on the green tea list of Adagio. Supposedly this is green tea with a hint of lemon and lime.
Cinnamon:
Cinnamon tea mixed with Ceylon black. I think I was referred to cinnamon by someone here! I wished I remembered his/her name.
