I was a terribe person. I made Yuri suffer again....all I wanted to do was leave...All I wanted was to die..The feeling had come back....I had managed to fight it off, but the want...the desire to die was coming back back to the time when my soul was in shreads and I joined Kyuubi in the crusade to end our lives.The lack of chakra had made my mind fuzzy and emotions rolled over each other like tumble weeds over rolling feilds....I could barely take it anymore and on top of that was on the brik of fainting. The last of my chakra was keeping Yurikami locked up.
"That's it kill us and then I'll have my revenge," Yurikami hissed in my head.
"You," I said realizing what she had done. She had managed to act in my mind without me knowing it causing me to believe that the thoughts of killing myself were my own. She was not a rook but a kinght herself....I had underestimated....I cursed myself for not hearing the seperation before.
"Oh you noticed now?" Yurikami smiled, "Well it's not like it matters now. You and I are going to die in lets see.....3.....2.....1...."
Suddenly I reached my limit. The chakra in me was gone and I felt my body fall fowards. I couldn't even move.
"Hachi!" Yuri yelled, but I didn't even have the energy to breathe....
Kai
I felt a jolt of chakra suddenly diminish. It caused me to recoil for a moment. Maki noticed it too.
"Kai what's wrong?" Maki asked.
"I-I-I can't feel Hachi's chakra.....at all......" I said worried.
"Kai take me bad!" Maki yelled, "Take me back now! Do you hear me! Hachi!" Maki yelled.
"Ya we have to..." I said.
I turned around and began to race back to the area where Yurikami's....wait it was lighter....like the nicer Yuri's chakra.....My legs accelerated and we were in there within seconds.
"Hachi!" Maki screamed.
Hachi was laying down oh his back while Yuri was yelling at him. Maki rushed over.
"What did you do to my Hachimata!" Maki yelled, "Hachi! HACHI! Can you hear me! Hachi!"
I still couldn't feel Hachi's chakra even though he was so near. I felt the sudden fear that he might not have any chakra left. If it were so then there was nothing keeping his heart beating.
"Hachi!" Maki yelled, "Breathe Hachi dam it!"
I ran over and put my finger to Hachi's pulse. It was so slow I could barely even tell it was there.
"Maki move! You too Yuri!" I yelled.
Neither of them moved and I was forced to shove them away causing both of them to sit together arms clutched around each other.
It was my turn to stay calm. I would not make the same mistake from before. I quickly transformed my chakra into as close to Hachi's as I could. Then I put my hand on his chest and forced chakra into him. I forced more than half of my chakra into him and soon his heart was beating normaly.
"Hachi," Maki and Yuri sobbed together.
"Hachi...." I said quietly.
"You a**," Hachi groaned, "that hurt."
"Hachi," I smirked, "And after all the crap you give me about keeping a store of chakra always avaliable."
"Sssorry," Hachi said putting his hand up to his head, "Dang thisss hurtsss."
"What your brain? Going to break out of yoru skull beacuse you have been reading too much?" I joked.
"Naw Yurikami," Hachi answered.
"Oh....." I answered.
"Ssshe'sss pissssed you sssaved me but thanksss anywaysss," Hachi smirked, "Now then misss Yuri how are we to settle thisss?"

Yuri
All of a sudden, I broke free from the cage and Yurikami was gone. I didn't feel her presences in my body. I was back to normal... for now.
I heard voices. They seemed familiar. It sounded like Hachi's and Kyo's voice. Oh thats right... Yurikami was fighting Hachi. I hope he's okay I thought. The voices became louder and louder... I wonder why? Kyo's voices sounded furious and intence. "You idiot! Don’t think like that! We can figure something out but don’t be suicidal!" I heard him yell. I became confused. Wa... what? Su... suicidal? No... don't do that Hachi... Hachi... Hachi! I began to move. "Hachi?" I whispered, slowly opening my eyes. Everything was a blur for a little while. My eyes weren't fully opened, the were half opened. My vision to respond to me. I looked over to Hachi and saw 2 Hachis intsead of one in a kind of blur vision. "Hachi..." I whisphered another time. He stared at me with a faint smile. "You finally came to." he smiled.
"I'm glad that your finally awake." Kyo spoke to me with a releaved tone. I noticed that I was in his arms and I asked myself why but it wasn't important now. "No Hachi... Don't die... don't be... suicidal." I whisphered.
"Heh... ssso you heard the conversssation?" he asked. I gently nodded my head a bit. "Well I musst so I can lead Yurikami to her destuction, as she wishes." he told me.
"The baka..." Kyo grunted and turned the other way. I asked Kyo to put me down. He refused the first time but he then did what he was told. I stood up but drifted to the side a little. Kyo panicked but I told him I was okay. "Hachi. But Hachi... I dont want you to die. No one wants you to die..." I continued to protest.
"Well sssometimesss people don't get what they want." he responded.
"What about Maki? And your little brother Kai, I believe. They would be sad and lonely without you Hachi..." I said softly to him. I guess I got some memory of Maki from Yurikami.
He sighed and spoke to me. "Assss I ssaid to your friend here, sssshe can find herself a new life and can raise my brother Kai. How can sssshe be lonely if she has Kai with her?"
"Hachi I'm very serious! Please don't die! Please... don't kill yourself. My other self isn't worth it... Hachi..." I said as water came to my eyes. "Hachi please dont..." I continued. I started to walk slowly towards him, reaching out my hand. He didn't move, he just watched as I wobbled over to him. My hand touched his face and then when down as I dropped to my knees. I clentched his shirt as I began to cry. "No..." I cried.
"I'm sorry Yuri but I-" He started but I interrupted.
"No! No Hachi! I dont want that! I... I don't want to hear any buts... because that means you not going to listen to me..." I cried.
"Yuri..." Hachi whisphered.
"Hachi. Yurikami lied. What you did for us was a wonderful thing. You gave us life. People like Shukaku would of been very sad. I know that... Yurikami and I both knew that... And now... We are going to let you suffer from killing yourself... Isn't there some way... Some way that you could get rid of her without hurting yourself? Isn't there? Because... right now, I care. I care that you live. I don't want you to die... Hachi. You are a person that is important in my life..." I cried to him.
There were complete silence except of the sound of my sniffing and weeping. Then something happened. I started to cough, hard and roughly. I let go of Hachi shirt and covered my mouth while coughing. I dropped on the ground coughing and I didn't stop untill I seen blood in my hands and on the grass. My eyes widen at the sight of my blood, but I shouldn't panick. The other 2 were in shock... kinda.
"Yuri you're bleeding..." Hachi said softly when getting onto his knees. He reached for my hands but I moved them away. "No... I don't want comfort, I want approvel of my request which is to not die." I told him, faced away.

Suki had vanished so now all there was to contend with was Yurikami. One rook gone…..better odds but they were still not in my favor. I sighed tightened my grip on Ryusemi. My body could at any moment collapse from the complete lack of chakra, so I had to chose quickly. What to do what to do…..
“Are you just going to stand there all day?” Yurikami asked staring at me intently.
“You’re free to attack at anytime,” I said, “We’re not playing chivalry here.”
“Fine then!” Yurikami smirked, “Here I come!”
Her speed was to be expected and I read her moves easily enough. She was still immature on the matters of the sword. This did not lessen my stress though for anyone can had a stroke of luck or I oculd mess up easily. I had to plan all my steps in order to make sure everything worked the way I wanted it to.
Yurikami made a slash to my head, but I dodged it easily. The blade crashed down on a tree instead and split it in two. What power she had managed to accrue. It was impeccable. But with such speed and strength they became her weakness as well. Suddenly a plan began to form in my mind. My slashed were half-hearted as I devised the plan that would unfold.
“Hachimata what are you planning!” Yurikami yelled, “I know that look. Your eyes gloss a bit when you are thinking…..”
“I remained silent so Yurikami continued to yell.
“Fine I will just take you down before you can finish thinking!”
She was too late. The plan had finished revealing itself, and as my eyes met hers I smirked.
“Heh….hehahahahahahhahaah,” I laughed.
Yurikami’s muscles remained tense but began to relax out of wonder.
“Hachimata?” Yurikami asked, “What is that? How are you able to…..that chakra….where is it coming from?”
“Sssshadow possession,” I hissed.
The shadow attacked and grabbed a hold of Yurikami. My lack of chakra could only hold her for a second, but it was enough I quickly forced her to do hand signs of a jutsu…..mind transfer. Yurikami was instantly forced into my mind. I instantly created chains and mental locks like I had done around Dark. This time they came around Yurikami.
“Let go bastard!” Yurikami yelled, “I hate you! LET GO!”
“Why in the world would I let someone who hatesss me go?” I asked smirking.
Unlike my weakened body my mind was far stronger. I exerted little energy but Yurikami was stuck. I sighed and stared at her now.
“I hate you! That will never change! And I’m going to kill you! I am!” Yurikami yelled.
“You can’t move and have no chakra in my mind,” I said calmly, “You have losssst.”
“No! I haven’t! No! I will kill you!” Yurikami yelled.
She struggled but the chains that had once held Dark held fast. I sighed and started to pace. I had managed to trap her, but what now…..
“What do you plan to do?” Yurikami asked, “Kill me?”
“I wouldn’t resssort to that. I may be a demon but I have a heart…..”
“A heart?” Yurikami asked, “A heart? You don’t have a heart! If you had a heart you wouldn’t have made me suffer! You are just a twisted snake freak!”
“Sssaysss the peanut gallery….” I answered, “If I were as heartlesssss as you sssay I am I would have already killed you.”
“You! You!” Yurikami seemed to be trying to find a word that would sting me like a needle. “You bastard!” she settled on.
“Meh….” Was my answer.
I created a shock of every that instantly knocked out Yurikami. I pulled away from that part of my mind and looked into the world. Yurikami’s body had hit the ground and she seemed to be sleeping. I sighed, returned Ryusemi to his knight form, and picked her up. I walked a bit and ran into the man named Kyo. He seemed ready to kill me.
“What did you do!” he yelled. So much yelling…..
“Take her before I decide to do sssomething malicioussssss,” I hissed.
Kyo seemed to recoil at my hissing, but he bent down and took Yuri from my arms. I sighed and began to walk away. I had to deal with Yurikami somewhere that would not cause a disturbance. Suddenly Kyo yelled at me.
“Where do you think you are going!” he barked.
“Away,” I answered.
“Not a chance! Get your a** over here! You did something and I want to know what!”
“I am a ssselfisssh sssnake bassstard…….” I answered and continued walking.
“I know that but you still owe Yuri! You did this and you owe her!” Kyo continued to yell.
I had done it. I had kept Yurikami alive and had created another entity. I had done wrong….I was a terrible person. I was not even a person…..I was a demon……
“You’re right,” I answered turning to him, “I am a terrible horrid demon who made too many mistakes. I know……I can fix that…..”
I continued to walk away. Kyo continued yelling at me but I didn’t hear him. Yurikami yelled in my mind and screamed something about hating me.
“No you can’t!” Kyo yelled, “You can never fix that because did nothing wrong!”
I stopped for a moment. I could bare believe I was hearing this from a human.
“I have done wrong,” I answered, “And Yurikami and you paid the price……”
“What did you do! I know you took her memories using a special jutsu but why did you do it!”
“I let the one I love die….my Maki……and then to bring her back…..Yurikami killed herssself…Maki was brought back….but Yurikami wasss dying..to ssstop her from….I usssed a jutsu to take her memories but give her life…..and with that sssshe was born into the perssson you know…..” I answered, “I am in the wrong to have let Maki die in the firssst place.”
“That wasn’t your fault!” Kyo yelled, “You can’t expect to be the hero all the time! What do you think you are!”
“I am Hachimata the twisssted sssnake freak with a cupcake feddish…..” I answered.
“Well I don’t hear the name God in there anywhere! You’re not perfect just like the rest of us! Man what do you think you are?! Get over it and fix the present not the past!”
“Yurikami remembered what I did…..and now ssshe livesss to kill me…..”
“What!” Kyo yelled, “I don’t believe you!”
“I froze Yurikami’s mind inssside mine, but I can’t keep her there……when Yuri awakensss ssshe will be your Yuri……”
“Wait what does that mean! You can’t keep a mind inside your own!” Kyo yelled.
“That isss why I will give Yurikami what ssshe asssked for….death…” I answered.
“What!” Kyo said paling and tightening his grip on Yuri.
“No…..Yurikami’ss mind isss in mine…..so I will jussst kill myssself……” I answered. I began to walk away slowly when Kyo said something quietly. I turned to hear.
“You baka….” Kyo sighed, “What about your family? If you do that…..you’ll do the exact same thing that Yurikami did……don’t….you have at least Maki……”
“Maki….” I smirked, “But ssshe isss human and very beautiful…..sssshe can find herself a new life and can raise my brother Kai.”
“You idiot! Don’t think like that! We can figure something out but don’t be suicidal!” Kyo yelled.
Suddenly Yuri began to move in Kyo’s arms.
“Hachi?” she asked.

The Legendary Nine. A group that every demon and every bijuu aspires to be a part of. Sometimes I wonder why I’m not part of the Legendary Nine. But then I think about it and it becomes very obvious.
For starters, I’m not legendary.
I seriously doubt that anyone has heard of me outside my frozen northern territory. And anyone who has ever heard of me doesn’t even think I exist. I am a myth. To the people of the world, I am a subject of stories and visual arts; inkworks, paintings, playworks, interpretive dance, and B-rated films. The inkworks and paintings are great, the playworks and B-rated films are okay (with a few good bits here and there) but the interpretive dance is just insulting.
So, anyways, you can’t be legendary when you’re considered a myth.
And two, I do not follow the rules of the Dragon King.
You may recall the incident that occurred with some of the more prominent canine members of the Legendary Nine (link) Kyuubi is careful to make sure that all the other members of the Legendary Nine are weaker than him. He took extra precautions for when he must leave by endowing himself with his part of the Dragon King’s power so that it stays with him no matter where he goes. In this way, he will always be stronger than any other member of the Legendary Nine wherever he is. (exception being Shukaku, but this may be because they’ll be at a stand off, plus they’re the best of buddies as far as bijuu go)
Before the Dragon King incident, I was far more powerful than any other bijuu in the world, with the exception of the Dragon King. As long as I stay on my homeland, however, I am far mightier than any other Bijuu. And if Kyuubi comes along…..we will have inherited the same amount of power from the Dragon King, and I will beat him with my natural power.
But that means I can’t be part of the Legendary Nine.
I suppose there are advantages to not being a member of the Legendary Nine. When less people know about you/believe that you exist, the less likely they are to stick you in some human with the intentions of creating a super soldier. Now, I’m on my third jiinchuriki, I must say, they can be fun, and I’ll admit without a jiinchuriki all bijuu will eventually go through mental decay, but it would be nice if I was ASKED instead of being forced into it by some arcane ritual.
And it’s really not worth it, making a jiinchuriki. A human life is usually required for the sealing, and if the bijuu has more power than 8 tails (mind you, Shukaku and I got more than that on our homelands because of the whole dragon incident) then the mother has to friggin die or else the child will be a stillborn. After that, the jiinchuriki will have various mental, psychological or medical issues that, while making them superior beings, can drive them insane. Such conditions include lipodystrophy, extreme insomnia, ADD, ADHD, hyperthymestic syndrome, claustrophobia, Prader-Willi syndrome (I finally remember it!) and what not.
Of course, we bijuu can be very selective when it comes to these conditions. Take Prader-Willi syndrome. Eternal hunger aside, the symptoms are….well, they explain it better than I do (link). But as you can see, my jiinchuriki never displays those attributes, always displaying seemingly the reverse.
Additionally, bijuu can gain power from defeated enemies. I myself do so by literally consuming my fallen opponent. (another reason I’m not in the Legendary Nine: I F*CKING eat other bijuu) Shukaku and Kyuubi create clones with similar abilities to certain fallen opponents. Kaku does so by shapeshifting into his fallen enemy. Nekomata can summon the spirit of any creature she has killed to do her bidding. The other bijuu I am not so sure of, but I know that they have some way of increasing their power from fallen foes. All bijuu share this ability with their jiinchuriki.
And furthermore, there are only 2 or 3 ways to kill any given jiinchuriki, one of which is always combat related fatality, although some jiinchuriki are more impervious to certain injuries than others. (The other method(s) of death is/are unique to each jiinchuriki, and no bijuu will ever tell anyone except their jiinchuriki, and even then, only under necessary circumstances. The only thing I will say is that it would be obvious if you studied the bijuu, the jiinchuriki, it’s powers, and where it tends to dwell) A jiinchuriki will stop aging at 25 and will not die unless it is killed by either of these methods. Since it’s difficult to kill jiinchuriki in combat, and the second/third method is usually unknown, jiinchuriki tend to live long lives if they are not killed outside of combat.
What’s the point I’m trying to make? While all that makes jiinchuriki great warriors, they are terrible soldiers. At some point in its life, the jiinchuriki will tire of taking orders from someone else and become its own boss. This means either it will go rogue and strike out on its own, or it will assume position of top dog.

I hated school! I just hated it! It's stupid! Adding to that, I have to wear this stupid uniform, but the good news is it fit with the fact I was emo, even though I thought the skirt was short. Damn. I could already tell this was going to be awful. I put my fox ears under a headband and made it look like I covered my ears too. I didn't do anything with my tails. If anyone asked, I'd just say I put a longer skirt underneath. That seemed like a good excuse...
"Hey, Dei-chan!"
I turned to be glomped and tackled to the ground by a bandmate of mine as well as a friend. "Hey Rin, it's good to see you too," I said, getting up.
Rin had many peircings. Never understood why she had so many, as well as becoming my friend so quickly. It was odd. "Guys, we're going to be late," Tori said.
"Toby says we should go. Tobi talked to Nameless and he was being odd again," Toby said.
"Seems like him un..." I said, making a weird face.
"Anyway, let's go, we have first period in Algebra I Deiara," Tori reminded us.
"Oh, yeah!" I said, pulling out my schedule.

Fifth Period - Digital Tools

Seventh Period - Biology
I had all classes with Tori except Gym and Digital Tools. I had none with Rin, but had Band with Toby. "At least Biology's last. I heard we had a test today un."
All of us walked to our respective classrooms. I passed my Biology teacher's room and it seemed a lot more erie... Kinda freaked me out, but I ignored it. It's nothing. Probably my imagination...

Things seemed to get... How can I put this?... Confusing really. I looked up at the giant wolf that had just pounced on me. She looked a little confused. She was whimpering and looking at the ground. She must've tripped and jumped on me... Then again, could it be something else?
I stood up and pat her on her head. "It's okay, you seem to be nice. I'm taking a liking to you," I said, giving her a smile.
