I felt anger again. Anger at Kyuubi for putting up the barrier. Anger at me for not protecting Maki. Anger at the two grandfathers that wished to spill each other's blood. Angery at the entire world that seemed to frown on what I had come to love.
Suddenly I felt Ryusemi awaken in my head. He seemed irritated for some reason. I did not let Kyuu hear what I was thinking.
"Hachimata?" Ryusemi asked, "You're spilling your own chakra."
"Ryusssssemi," I hissed grabbing him off my neck, "Ryusssemi I know the price! And I want in that barrier!"
"Ooooh an angry Hachimata! Who are you going to forget now?"
"I don't need chakra! I need you asssss a sssssword!"
"Aw Hachimata is not fun....fine I will do as you ask lord Hachimata."
"Ryusemi," I said aloud this time my hands moving inbetween the hold I had on the sword, "Art of the Dragon Caster Sword! Teteresssss sssslash!"
I make a quick strike on the barrier and it shattered to bits. Kyuu-kun was left staring at me as I ran in. I had to get to Maki! I had to get to her! Maki!
"Hachimata!" Kyuubi yelled at me, "Hachi! Come back! What are you going to do?"
"Kyuu you dork!" I laughed, "I'm gonna ssssave my woman!"
"Hachimata.....called me a dork?" were the last words I heard Kyuubi say as I entered the area.
Hachimata was acting like a child. Once I put up my barrier, I couldn't have it released unless the fight inside was over. Hachi was looking at me with anger in his eyes, but after that, I had no expression. It was a cross between blank and disappointment. "Do you really think you can kill me?"
"Yeah, I believe I can," he hissed.
"I can't do anything about the barrier."
"What do you mean?!" he snapped, pulling me up to him closer.
My expression had no amusement or fear. "Once the barrier is set, it won't go away unless a battle is won. I can't do anything about it."
"You don't care about Maki at all!"
"Hachimata, I can't do anything!"
"There issss a way!"
"STOP ACTING CHILDISH! I know you care about her, but she'll be okay."
"What if sssshe isssn't then?"
"That's your point to decide."
We charged towards each other. I knew what I must do. Chiyoko and I punched and kicked at each other. I was lucky enough to dodge some of her strong blows to the jaw and stomach. We kept going at it while our grandfathers threw their fire balls and ice beams. Everything was going wrong. One of the beams nearly hit the gang. I had to do this and quick.
I jumped into the air and cofted my hand into a ball and looked thew it. I aimed for Chiyoko's forhead. Chiyoko dashed right towards me. I didn't wuite got it let... come on... come on... got her! Chiyoko jumped towards me witha ball of ice in hand. "Gott'ya" I said and then an orange beams shot from my hand and went threw Chiyoko's head. The beam didn't kill her. It just tranfered me into her head. Cuasing us to fall to the ground, unconious.
In Chiyoko's head, it was dark. Expect for this one part, In that part, the regular Chiyoko was curled up in the corner. "Chiyoko..." I said soflty.
"That... That out there... isn't me..." She told me.
"I know that, Chiyoko. I know. I came to tell you goodbye." I said calmly. She look up at me. "What you mean?", she asked.
"You'll see. But for now... we gotta get you out of this form..." I reached and touched her forhead. Suddenly we woke up, normal. Kenji looked over to us. He was outraged. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! BUT HOW???!?!? YOU'LL PAY FOR THIS!!! he yelled to the heavens. It was time. I was glad that I made the justu that was going to end it all. The Pain, The fights, The everything bad... It was time... to use my deadly jutsu...
I ran as fast as I could towards Maki but was suddenly struck by a barrier. It was Kyuubi's.
"Kyu! KYU! Dang it man put down the barrier!" I yelled.
"This is their fight don't interrupt Hachi you child!" Kyuubi said laying in the grass.
"B!@*@#d! My Maki is in there!" I yelled. I was shaking Kyuubi now, but he kept staring at me.
"You're human is in there?" Kyuubi asked turning his head to the area he had sealed off.
"Yesss my woman!!" I yelled.
"Hachi.....she's in danger," Kyuubi said. This time I was mad. I picked Kyuubi staright off the ground.
"LET ME IN OR I WILL KILL YOU!" I hissed.
"You can't kill me," Kyuubi nearly laughed.
"Watch me!" I hissed.
[To Maki]
I stood as close to Yuri as possibe, but I was shaking. Demon fights were nothing like human fights. It terrified me. I tried to back away but there was a barrier.
"Maki," Yuri said, "Stay back please."
"Yuri....please be careful......" I said.
"My-my daughter...." Yuri's mother was crying.
"Don't worry!" I smiled, "Demons are demons and they are all ok."
"Wha what do you mean?" Yuri's mother asked.
"They are a lot stronger than humans and will be fine," I answered.
"How can you stay so calm?" she asked.
"because I put full faith in a demon once.....and I turned out to love him."
I stared blankly at Hachi. He was acting like a child. I transformed back. God this was retarded. This was making no sense as time went on. I felt like I was in a friggin' episode of a retarded anime or comedy. I couldn't care less if Hachi went down. He interrupted the fight. Man...
I lied down in the grass and stared at the sky. The fight was beggining... Chiyoko vs Yurikami and Grandfather vs Grandfather. I sighed and gazed at the blood-red sky. Others, including Shukaku tried to interviene, but I put up a barrier that prevented them from entering. "This is their fight alone."
I closed my eyes and relaxed in the grass. I sang to myself, hopefully no one will hear me.
Looking back at the beginning of this
And how life was
Just you and me and love and all of our friends
Living life like an ocean
Now the current's slowly pulling me down
It's getting harder to breathe
It won't be too long and I'll be going under
Can you save me from this
It's not my time,
I'm not going
There's a fear in me
It's not showing
This could be the end of me
And everything I know
Oh, I won't go
I look ahead to all the plans that we made
And the dreams that we had
I'm in a world that tries to take them away
Oh, but I'm taking them back
All this time I've just been too blind to understand
What should matter to me
My friend, this life we live
Is not what we have, it's what we believe
It's not my time
I'm not going
There's a fear in me
It's not showing
This could be the end of me
And everything I know
But, it's not my time
I'm not going
There's a fear in me
Now I know that
This could be the end of me
And everything I know
Oh, I won't go
I won't go
There might be more than you believe
There might be more than you can see
But, it's not my time
I'm not going
There's a fear in me
It's not showing
This could be the end of me
And everything I know
But, it's not my time
I'm not going
There's a will in me
Now it's gonna show
This could be the end of me
And everything I know, oh
There might be more than you believe
There might be more than you can see
And I won't go
No I won't go down
