Kyuubi sat up really quickly breathing hard.
"Morning Kyu-kun," I said not bothering to stand up. I prefered sitting here near Maki. It was still bothering me what she said, but I was going to have to get over it.
"Hachi....how do you know it's me and not my darker side?"
"Dugh ssssssstupid your chakra is normal. When your darker ssssside ssssslips out I feel this weird chakra. Yep you're Kyu-kun," I answered, "SsssO I figure you're fine now?"
"Hachi you put too much faith in me," Kyuubi said nearly laughing, "but ya I'm fine."
"Good 'cuz I'd rather not have to use Ryusemi on you too and lose those memories also. Then I would really be blued ssssscrewed and tatooed. Cuz then I wouldn't know any of the biju I do now hahhahahahaha."
"You have a weird sense of humor Hachi," Kyuubi said but he was smiling.
"Well now....where are you going off to? At leassssst sssstay a while. Oh and your ssssisster wassss hear earlier but left."
"I'm going to find her."
"At leasst wake that one," I said pointing to Suki.
"Hachi....naw just let her sleep...."
"Fine."
I served Raijuu-san and his girlfriend with sweets and poured them tea. I decided I would pay for it because Raijuu-san helped me a lot. It was weird he would come to this cafe of all places. I was glad Raijuu and his friend Monique did not ask about my uniform because its embarrising. Around 7:00 I left to go get something to drink. I went to a bar and ordered sake which I was suprised they had. I drank about 5 cups and I wasn't drunk. I didn't want to waste my money so I left seeing Shukaku and someone else were talking. I left the bar and went to the hotel. I took a shower and changed into clean clothes. I was tired and I bandaged up my injuries..I needed a break. I then hit the bed fast asleep.
Next Morning
I heard a ringing sound and I opened my tired eyes. It was 7:40 I was late!! My job starts at 8:00 and it takes 10 minutes to get their and 10 minutes to get ready. I put on the white shirt and vest with the dress pants. I left my hair messy because I was in a hurry. Luckily it took shorter to get there. I ran through the cafe door and bowed to Ainanwa-san. "Am I late?", I asked heavily. He just smiled. "No you aren't but make sure you wake up earlier than you do not have to rush",he said energetically. He then walk to the employee's only door and I was just standing there. Thats right I have to bake pasteries today! Their was a waitress here that had green emerald eyes and silky blonde hair. I couldn't say I liked her. She had a weird aura around her that told me that she was unkind. I tried to stay away from her whenever I wait tables. I walked to the kitchen and washed my hands. I knew how to bake for some instict so Ainanwa-san didn't have a problem with me. I wonder where Chiyoko-san is I hope she comes soon.

"Heh, you seem to have gotten quicker."
"Yeah," I said to D. Kyuubi, "I know I'm not alone."
He laughed an evil, cold laugh, "How do you know that they won't abandon you? How can you trust them? You trust biju and demons, but if they had somewhat a dark aura to them, you won't even approach. That's why you couldn't trust Neka-san in the beginning. Am I correct?"
I couldn't deny the fact. "Correct, I was skepticle when Nekomata was first introduced, but she has her dark side under control unlike me."
"What about Suki? You didn't quite trust her, but you became so close that you're fond of her, just like your adoptive sister, Chiyoko."
I growled. "Lies! I trusted my little sister from the start! I couldn't trust Suki quite so much, but..." I paused.
"Heheheh... You don't quite trust Suki or your sister do you? You're skepticle of their feelings. You don't know if they're lying or not, do you?"
"Shut up!" I went full on force for attack, "I trust Suki! I trust my sister Chiyoko! I trust the members of my club! But the one thing I don't trust is you!"
I kicked and punched, nailing him both times, but he countered the same way. "You won't win! Your friends will lead you to your demise!"
"No! You're trying to! I'm not arrogant like I was back then. I don't play as many pranks, but have a nasty temper sometimes. My friends change that though. I'm not dying! You are! You aren't needed! Get out!"
"You know you have to defeat me first!" the demon said, transforming into and evil version of myself.
"I'm going to enjoy kicking your ass out of me!" I said, transforming.
"If you get that chance!" D. Kyuubi said, forming a rasengan.
"I will," I replied forming rasengan too.
"Now die!" we both said, the attacks colliding.

All demons, bijuu or not, start out as humans. These humans become powerful in their life time. But they do not become demons until they die….with an incredible amount of hate and sin in their souls, as well as a desire not to die.
To put these factors into perspective, let us start with ‘power in life’.
Humans that become demons are usually old kooks that have managed to hold onto most of the power they had in their prime. They have enough chakra to destroy landscapes, invoke natural disasters, etc. But doing so would almost kill them.
Humans that become bijuu, however, can perform the same feats without bringing themselves to death’s door. It’s not something they can do twice a day, but they’re at the limit of the human ability.
Next, hatred.
Hatred in demons is usually ‘I hate the world for not respecting me’. Bijuu hatred, however, is usually caused by a great injustice, or great trauma. Examples include:
Shukaku: Father was an abusive drunk, mother dead, himself a drunk, desired to control the sand and wind (which killed him), liked by no one, stc
Okami Shichibi: He was a samurai, the leader of his nomadic clan, in life; from the far northern lands. He was your typical brutal warlord, towering stature, bulging muscles, big teeth, not to mention loads of white hair. Another clan betrayed him, slaying his clan and cutting him down in his prime. (not to say he didn't manage to take a few with him)
Kyuubi: A playful prankster who irritated the city people, particularly the royal family, until one day one his pranks went too far. One day, he accidentally killed the first princess……the woman he loved more than anything. He was burned alive as a punishment.
Sin. It’s generally stronger in Bijuu than in demons, but it doesn’t have to be.
Shukaku: He did a fair amount of drinking, and snapped quite a few necks trying to become more powerful and respected, all with a side order of rape.
Okami: Killed at least 7000 people in his lifetime.
Kyuubi: Engaged in many sexual endeavors with the first princess using his shape shifting powers.
Desire to live: Demons are hanging on with the skin of their teeth, while Bijuu have a grip of iron, if you get what I mean.
Shukaku: Continued wanting to live, despite the pain of having his skin peeled off by the sandstorm.
Okami: Was stabbed and slashed repeatedly before being frozen,, not in a block of ice, but by the harsh wind. But still, he continued wanting to live.
Kyuubi: He lost the love of his life, and was burned in a cremator, but continued refusing to die.
Bijuu are very ironic creatures. However you kill a Bijuu in life determines the powers it has. Shukaku was killed by a sandstorm….and gained control over sand and wind. Okami was killed by swords and the freezing wind…..and gained control over the Northern wind, as well as the ‘cutting winds’. Kyuubi was burned alive in the royal cremator…and he gained control over fire and power in general.
What animal a Bijuu will be is determined by the personality of the person. Greed, honesty, deceit, ferocity, mindlessness, cunning, instinct….etc. As you can clearly see this is true:
Shukaku: angry, perverted drunkard=badass Tanuki
Okami: honorable but vicious samurai=white Wolf
Kyuubi: shapeshifting trickster= red Fox.
The next time you think of a Bijuu, think of who they were as humans, and what happened to get them to where they are now.
Suki managed to tire herself out with ranting, lay back on a building, and went to sleep. I was tired too, but the moon was beautiful.
"Hachi," Maki said resting her head on my shoulder, "When this all started....I didn't know that there would be so much to deal with. But now I understand that I would get that with just living in general. When I was running away with Yuri....I was afraid....I was afraid that you would get killed."
"Maki," I said quietly, "Don't talk like that. I'm fine...well.....as fine as I can be...."
"And I was afraid because I thought I would lose you....and because I love you Hachi," Maki said sleepily.
"Maki, you are like a sister to me. You and Kai are my family," I said quietly.
"Hachi...not like that....Hachi I love you," Maki said quietly, "Hachi I love you..."
Maki went to sleep then, and I was left with my thoughts. I didn't want to wake her by moving, so I remained frozen there.
Maki loved me in a way that I never thought.....but it would never work like that.....she's human....and I'm a demon.....I can't do that to her. Maki...Do I love her? Yes she is like my sister. I watched her grow up...but was there anything more....
I did not sleep that night but watched the moon lost in my own thoughts. What was Maki to me. She is like a mom to Kai who never had a mom....she is a friend to all the biju I know....but what was she to me. I moved slowly and managed to not wake her. I stood and walked away.
My feet took me to a bar where Shukaku was sitting drunk and smiling.
"Hachi my man!" Shukaku said nearly choking me with his arm, "What's up?"
"Shukaku....you love Yuri-chan, I said.
"Yep I can't help it," Shukaku said happily, "I love her."
"How do you know," I asked.
"What do you mean?" Shukaku asked, "When you love someone you know. Wait don't tell me! Hachi have you found a main squeez?"
"Maki....I don't....know...."
"Hachi! You're in love with a human?"
"You're in love with an Akatski member."
"True."
"I don't know...."
"Ya gotta be honest with your heart Hachi. I'm not a psychic. If I was I would be rich and have a lot more sake!" Shukakau laughed.
I sighed and left. Shukaku was no help. I walked back and sat in the moonlight away from it all. The sun was rising.
