I turned my body slowly to fully meet him.
"Francis..." I trailed off.
"I guess I have some explaining to do...But when mom said you probably weren't coming, I couldn't wait." he explained slowly.
"How long are you staying?" I asked.
"I don't know...it depends on the.....circumstances."
I sighed. I knew this was going to be difficult. Francis disappeared and then reappeared next to me. He looked through the small window at Houkou, watching the monitor of his heartbeat.
"Well what do you know? He's the five tailed dog demon. A pure blood."
I nodded. "Can you do anything to help him?"
He took a step back and looked up at the ceiling. "Why would I? He's done nothing for me."
That hurt. That hurt a lot. He saw the pain in my eyes though...
"But," he began, "If he means enough to you that you would rather stay here than see your own family....I guess you care a lot don't you?"
Hope filled my body. Francis was never there for me, and I guess that he understands the pain I felt when I was by myself or with mom. Now he knows how to be my brother.
"I'm going to check what's happening in his mind right now." he explained before vanishing again.
In a few seconds Houkou's heartbeat quickened and didn't die down.
Francis returned just as fast as he left. He looked flushed. And he was panting heavily.
"H-he's f-f-fighting with him-s-self..." he gasped. "And i-if he doesn't win...he will die."
We were back at my house. Kai was in bed, but Maki was up and made some hot tea for me and Raiju. I sighed and drank it in one gulp. Maki looked peterbed by my drinking so qucikly but just refilled my cup. My skin itched, and my nailes made me bleed.
"Hachi!" Maki nearly shouted, "Don't do that!"
I sighed and went to the thermostat and turned it to eighty degrees. It was soon warm, and I felt my blood begin to run smothely again.
"Hachi It's late, so I'm going to bed," Maki said, "Go upstairs if you want to talk."
"Fine," I answered, "Come on Raiju, we'll go to my room."
Raiju seemed to twitch at hearing it.
"What'ssss wrong?" I asked.
"It's just that well.....I've never been in um......"
"Well we can't sssstay here and we can't go down sssstairs to Kai's room. Come on," I said starting up the stairs.
Raiju still seemed upset for some reason, but I walked straight up the stairs. The entire second floor was my room. I had a king sized bed pressed up against the back wall and a computer desk with a laptop on it on another wall. My entire east wall was devoted to my stupid random drawings. For a second I was worried that Raiju would say something, but he merely looked around with a starge look on his face. My floors were white carped, and my toes sank it. I pulled over a rolling chair and Raiju sat down awkwardly at my desk chair.
"Firsssst of," I started, "If you ever tell anyone about my sssssisssster then I will behead you ssspimple asssssssss that. Ssssecondly thankssss."
"What are you talking about Hachi???" Raiju said a little too loudly. A thump on the floor told me Maki was angry.
"Keep it down," I answered, "and I mean what I mean. Thanks."
"But I didn't do anything.....and and......"
"But you were there.....and I thank you..." I answered.
"Hachi.....are you going to be ok now?" Raiju asked.
"Hm?" I asked.
"You're cold blooded right?"
"Yessss I'll be fine.....the heat issss nice."
"What do you think the others are doing?" Raiju started.
I turned my head and saw the sun rising over the land.
"Probably ssssleeping," I answered.
"I'm not really tired....." Raiju started.
"Neither am I.....why don't you sssstay for breakfast??"
"Um.....ok....."
Die???
No! NO NO NO NO!! It can't be true!!! Houkou can't die! He just can't!!
I kept screaming that in my head. Until the thought of my brother appeared again. Did he know any jutsu that would help this??
As much I as wanted to go ask for his help, I knew that I couldn't leave Houkou at a time like this. But if I didn't get Francis help, Houkou will...die.
I put the word death into the back of my mind for now.
"Don't panic." I heard someone say.
I looked around. No one was near me. Everyone was still in the room, watching and helping Houkou as much as they could.
The voice spoke again. "Don't get too attached to him. If you do, you'll worry yourself over and might massacre everything in sight."
The voice was so clear. Like I was dreaming.
"Who are you?" I whispered.
No reply. But the voice was soothing enough to let me calm down. It was like listening to chimes. I looked back into the window, everyone was huddled over Houkou that I couldn't see him.
I heard a loud screech coming from the elevator. I spun my head to see who it was. A man, wearing black cowboy boots, jeans with wholes, and black T-shirt with a skull, walked out of the elevator.
His eyes swirled with green and golden colors. I recognized him immediately.
Francis.
The nurse quickly ran out of the hallway for help of nearby doctors.
I scooped up the feverish Houkou and laid him back in the bed. Only to find that the doctors put him in another bed with wheels. (I totally forget what that thing is called so don't hurt me)
I just stood there and watched as they wheeled my beloved into the hallway. I followed, but I wasn't thinking about it. My legs reacted on their own.
They put him in another room, it had a small window on the door that allowed me to view the process.
I turned my head as they stripped him quickly. When I turned back I winced as I saw them stick a long IV in his arm. They put a mask on him to keep him breathing. And gathered bags of ice around his body to put down the fever.
I had a horrible feeling of guilt gush through me. I felt as if this was all my fault, the accident with the eye wasn't my fault, but this had to be. When you wounded your eye, you can't just get a fever and fall into a coma....
No, this was something much much more than that. The shaking and growling. That wasn't part of a coma.
I wanted to be in there with him. Tempted as I was, I couldn't budge.
I jumped as my cell phone when off. I quickly picked it up, knowing you shouldn't have any cell phones in the hospital.
"Hello?" I answered.
"Nekomata! This Mom! Where are you??" she gasped into the phone.
"Mom? I'm in the hospital. Why? Are you home?" I asked.
"Hospital?? Why? What happened?" she asked.
"My...Friend, his eye..." I choked.
"Oh, I thought...Nevermind! You need to come home now!" she ordered.
"Why??" I asked.
"Because........" she began breathing heavily into the phone.
I waited. She didn't continue.
"Because?"
"Because your father and brother are home!" she yelled, that I jumped again.
My father? My father...I hate my father. He left mom and I and caused so much pain.
But my brother...Francis. He didn't have a choice whether to stay or not. He was the heir the household. Father didn't want him to die...
Francis could never be Matt though. He was never aloud to smile or even talk unless ordered. Matt on the other hand, was younger and he could do anything he wanted, so he was closer to me.
But Francis, ever so often, would sneak a smile or his eyes would light up when he saw me. I haven't seen him for over 10 years. But what would he think of me?
"Mom? Are you still there?" I asked.
"Yes...Are you coming?" she asked.
"I-I...don't know. I need to stay here...." I trailed off.
"You may never get a chance to see them again." she said.
"How long are they staying?" I asked.
"I don't know. They can't tell me anything." she breathed.
"Oh..."
"Well, it's your decision, Nekomata." she hung up.
Either I stay with Houkou, and make sure everything's alright or I visit my father and brother who I haven't seen in over 10 years....
What do I do? My love? Or the last living part of my family?
ter yelling alot i understood he didnt listen to me...that dissapoint me a little well actually alot..i usually dont say that kinda things and less i yelled them
Everything happened very fast and i was just sitting there watching the scene; i saw the member of the Akatsuki and then some other appeared to take it away. Hachi was looking at the house and i just lay in the snow, it was very cold but it was comfortable. The sky was full of stars now and i could also see the moon I closed my eyes and took along sigh

I knew somehow he was trying to make me feel better so i grinned. But if i think about it..i wasnt helpful all the time, i just appear and sometimes i even get things worst..*sigh* I was hearing a voice and then i realized it was Hachi. Sometimes i got thinking about things and forgot about everyting

Anyways after some hours of climbing/walking we finally arrived to society OO i was so happy!!!!! but cold..

*pokes* Hachi??. He wasnt answering...O___O He is a reptile!! I took Hachi's arm and pull him very fast to my house.
when i arrived i turned my chimney on and Hachi return to life (wiiii!)
