Taki roamed through the busy sidewalks of New York. There were so many people! Suddenly something caught her eye. A random fox dashed into the street. A car was heading straight for it! Taki dove into the street, sweeping the fox into her arms and barely dodging the car. People glared and cars stalled, as Taki blushed and fled the scene.
"Shame on you Yaki."
The fox glanced up at her. "Well maybe if you hadn't left..."
"Yaki...I had to leave. Something came up. I can't believe your not in human form. Are you stupid?" Taki slipped into a random building.
"I would have been, but I needed to find you quicker." Yaki said darkly.
Taki looked at her surroundings. She was in a tacky apartment. Yaki lept out of her arms and landed in front of her."So why'd you leave?"
Take opened the door and tried to blend in with the crowd again. Yaki shouldn't be here. Suddenly, she felt Yaki bite her on the ankle.
"Tell me or I'll be forced to kill you."
Taki smirked. "A fox taking down a wolf? I don't see it." Yaki bit her again.
"I don't want to resort to violence, but you need to come home."
"I can't Yaki. I belong to a club now. I don't want walk out on them. They're my friends. And besides, I'm sure home is fine."
"It's not. Tadashi moved out and refuses to stop tampering with humans."
"I mess with humans."
"But Tadashi isn't good at it. And he keeps threatnening to reaveal the Okami secret. By any chance, have you told your club yet?"
Taki kicked Yaki. "You aren't a part of the Okami clan, so it shouldn't matter to you."
"But it does Takahara. I need you to teach Tadashi a lesson! And return home while your at it."
"No! Look Yaki. Maybe the Okami clan wouldn't be such a mess if father hadn't been playing favorites." Taki's voice was bitter.
"Your father loved you!"
"Keyword: Loved."
Yaki bit her again. "Well, I'll deal with you later. Don't tell anyone the Okami secret or I really will have to kill you."
Then Yaki disappeared into the crowd, fading from Taki's view.
