The New York trip was going well, but on the last day of the vacation, it rained and everyone decided to hang out in the hotel. It was a luxurious hotel and there was an entire floor devoted to the group and the smell of incense was constantly burned and soft orchestra music was playing farther down below but could be heard even through the walls. It was around ten and most of the demons were eating breakfast downstairs. Some had already eaten and had gone back to their rooms.
“Hey Hachi Shukaku,” Kyuubi said staring at the painting of three plush looking angels that covered to domed ceiling while laying in one of the twin beds.
“Hmm,” Hachi answered reading a magazine on what was the best place to eat in New York. He was sitting at a desk in the corner with a reading light on.
“What’s up Kyuubi?” Shukaku asked playing a GameCube in the right hand corner.
“Since it is raining and there is nothing else to do, why don’t we play Twister with our chibi demon forms?”
“Where did you get an idea like that?” Hachi asked asked looking up.
Kyuubi sat up and shrugged.
“What would happen if someone walked in?” Shukaku asked calmly.
“Well, we could act like stuffed animals,” Kyuubi answered.
“This room is entirely too sssssmall to play twissssster,” Hachi said flatly.
“We could go next door where Houkou and Kaku are and get them to join and then go to Neka’s sweet (we’re not entirely sure how she got a sweet to herself) and play twister in there,” Kyuubi answered.
“Hmm sounds good,” Hachi answered. He put the book down and stood up.
“Sure, but let me save my game,” Shukaku asnswered.
Hachi got up off the bed, Shukaku saved his game, and the three of them proceeded to Houkou and Kaku’s room. As the door was pushed open, Kyuubi saw that they were playing brawl on the Wii they had asked the hotel people to install.
“Hey,” Kyuubi said walking in. Shukaku followed, and Hachi leaned against to wall.
Houkou looked up and the poked Kaku to look up too. They paused their game to talk to Kyuubi.
“We’re going to play Twister with our chibi demon forms. Want to play?” Kyuubi asked smiling.
“Twister! I haven’t played that in forever!” Kaku said excitedly.
“Do we even have a Twister matt?” Houkou asked.
Kyuubi thought for a moment and looked around.
“We could make our own twister with duck-tape and we can put things on the walls too. We can use dice rather than a spinner since I know Hachi secretly gambles late at night,” Kyuubi said looking a Hachi.
“Hey!” Hachi exclaimed, “I thought no one knew that!”
“You gamble?” Kaku nearly laughed.
“It’sssss a hobby you could ssssay,” Hachi tried to explain, “I haven’t done it sssince we got here, but I do have dice.”
“And he complains to me that I have a bad habit,” Shukaku laughed.
“That works,” Houkou said.
“What about the others?” Kaku asked.
“You snooze and then eat late you loosssssse,” Hachi laughed.
“Let’s get Neka and then we’ll play,” Kyuubi smiled.
So the group walked to Neka’s sweet and pushed the door open. Neka looked up.
“So we’re going to play Twister with duck-tape and put tape on Hachi’s secret gamboling dice and play Twister?” Neka asked.
“Yep,” Kyuubi answered.
“It does sound like fun, and we can call and get multi-colored duck-tape sent up,” Neka said.
So the Twister was set up using tape, but it went on the walls and part of the ceiling as well.
“Ok!” Kyuubi said happily, “Now let’s convert to our chibi forms!”
Everyone focused and used different jutsu to transform into chibi demons. And the game was on. They used all extensions they could think of, and Hachi used all of his heads since he didn’t have any others. Soon they were all tied up and unable to move.
“Left claw red,” Neka said as she managed to roll the dice with one claw.
Everyone reached, but they were unable to.
“Get off of my head!” Houkou raged at Neka.
“Then tell Hachi to get off of my ear!” Neka raged back.
“Then tell Kaku to get off of my head!” Hachi raged in.
“Then tell Shukaku to get off of my back!” Kaku ordered.
“Hey! It was the only way to get right ear on blue!” Shukaku retorted.
“Stop yelling!” Kyuubi yelled over them, “Do you want someone to hear and come in?”
Silence engulfed the room.
“Ha! I did it! I won!” Kyuubi said as he managed to get one of his nails on the red. Everyone fell over into a clump of fur and scales and whatever else flew through the air.
“Room service!” a cheerful voice called through the door.
“Crud!” Kyuubi said.
Everyone worked like crazy to get freed, and as the maid entered, she saw several stuffed animals laying on the ground.
“Wow miss Neka must like stuffed animals a lot,” the maid smiled. She picked each of the demons up as they tried their hardest not to move. The maid sat each of them on the bed and smiled at her work. Frozen, the demons waited until the maid had left.
“Few, that was close,” Houkou sighed.
“I’m hungry,” Neka said, “but I don’t have the energy to change back and go downstairs.”
“Me too,” Kaku answered.
“Letssss call room ssservice and assssk them to bring up ssssome noodlessss,” Hachi suggested.
“But when they come to deliver the food, all they’ll see are stuffed animals,” Shukaku answered.
“Well we can have Neka call, and when the food gets here, she can stand in the bathroom and tell them to put the food on the bed,” Kyuubi mussed.
So it was said so it was done. Twenty boxes of ramen , odon, ohagi, and onigiri were ordered, and the plan worked like magic.
“Mmmm food!” Kyuubi said happily.
Twister?!
