Hachi had unfortunately followed me down the alley as I was trying to escape. I noticed him there, but let him follow me a little longer, hoping he'd give up. He hadn't so I stopped in my tracks. “Hachimata, I know you are there.”
“Sssso what?” he responded.
I turned and looked at him. He was the one of my former friends that had no fear of me after Shukaku was put away. “I don’t want to talk to you right now Hachimata,” I said angrily.
“If thissss chance goesssss then I will ssssurely never get another chance,” he retorted.
I knew Hachimata wasn't going to let this go, so I decided to talk a little. “What do you want then?” I asked.
“I want to talk about Shukaku’ssss actionssss.”
After what happened, he had the nerve to speak of the tanuki brat?! “I don’t want to talk about Shukaku right now!” I shouted.
“Look how childish you are being. The childish king of the Biju. What a disgrace. Demons of all sortssss are disgraced by your actions,” Hachimata taunted.
“Did you follow me just to insult me?” I asked.
“No I only came to talk about Shukaku. You are the one that is disgracing the name Biju,” he told me.
He has the nerve to say that after what happened?! Anger overcame me and I punched him in the jaw. He returned with a punch, but I responded with one of my own. It was ten minutes, until I realized, he wasn't worth it. “Don’t challenge me Hachimata, I am the king for a reason. I am far stronger than you,” I said, not wanting to speak with him any more.
“No. You are the king because you have managed to gain the honor and ressssspect of all those that know you. You are not the king because you are more powerful,” He told me.
“Honor... What has honor gotten me? Shukaku, if he has respect for me then why did he do it?”
“He drank the sssssake because it was the only way to free you two. He does ressssspect you, and he issss your best friend!”
“No! He is not my friend!”
“Even friends fight, but if you continue thissss all that will be left issss regret.”
“Shut up Hachimata! You have no idea what it is like. I thought he was my best friend. Then he goes and ruins everything!”
“No... and if you keep ssssaying that, then you are the one that betrayed him."
“No, Shukaku betrayed me!”
“Baka!”
“You have no right!”
“Shukaku maybe a drunk, but we all have faults. I’m too hard on people. Yours is your temper!”
“SHUT UP HACHI!” I shouted.
“Hehehe you called me Hachi. Ssssso the real Kyuubi isssss sssssstill in there sssssleeping. Wake up Kyuubi! Your anger is blinding you! Wake up!”
“This is me!” I said with hands on my head.
“No! It’s not! You are not some blood shot angry demon! You are Kyuubi the funny, relaxed demon king with an awkward sense of fashion.”
“I am... and what do you mean an awkward sense of fashion?” I responded to him, looking more back to normal.
“Yes you are, and Shukaku issss your friend. And mine. Don’t let thisssss hate sssseperate you.”
'Got him'
I smerked and I jabbed him in the stomach before he could react. Itachi appeared bhind him and held him up. Before he went unconcious though, he mouthed, 'Kyuubi? Why?'
“Hahahaha Kyuubi you saved us half the work,” Itachi laughed, “Now be a good boy and come with us.”
"Why would I want to come with you?" I said, my temper still flaring.
"You really have no where else to go," Itachi said.
"You just want to capture me again," I said, turning my back to him.
"That may be, but you have a usefulness of gathering your biju and demon friends."
"What friends?"
"I'm sorry, your enemies. I want to use your ability to help capture them. If you do that, you may go free and kill Shukaku."
'Kill Shukaku?!' That was music to my ears.
My concious however had something to say about it. "Kyuubi! Don't degrade yourself by joining with them! Naara may be in Akatsuki, but he's still apart of the club and works with you."
This time, that wasn't my only concious that appeared though. "Don't you want revenge on the tanuki that caused this horrible trip for you?!" the evil version of me said.
"Shukaku tried to make everything better! He drank to save you! You were happy with him until you saw him with the CD! Then he was teasing you with a joke and your temper got flared!" the good version responded.
"He shouldn't have played the joke on you in the first place! If he hadn't you wouldn't have had trouble with him, but now you do! Join with them, you can get the revenge on the tanuki!"
"Don't do it! Fighting with your best friend won't solve anything!"
"The trouble would be put aside and you'd be happy."
"But at what cost? All your friends being captured by the Akatsuki?!"
The two fought and came with their responses and retorts.
Kyuubi: *sigh* What decision should I make?
Good Inner Kyuubi: I know that you care for your friends
Kyuubi: *sigh* So, where has that gotten me?
Good Inner Kyuubi: I'll be there when you need me
Kyuubi: You are the one who stood by my side
Evil Inner Kyuubi: But all your so called friends tried to mess with your life
They tried to bring your dreams to an end
Good Inner Kyuubi: But they don’t try to knock you down, they get you up again
Evil Inner Kyuubi: No, they’ll see you as a menace in the end
But they're not the same, I know who they use to be
Kyuubi: I don't know what they want from me
I don't care, that's the way it's gotta be
