He is an Azure Dragon, and guards the eastern gate. His element is wind. Suzaku - The third of the Sovereign Beasts. She is a Vermillion Bird guards the southern gate. Her element is fire. Unamed Kitsune - A kitsune. Its element is unknown, presumed water, and its partner is Inari. Hainu - A winged dog. Its element is wind. Kisame - A Samebito(half shark, half human) who guards the Ryugu-jo. Its element is water. Redikumo - A Jorogumo(half spider, half human). Her element is earth. Jishinou - A Namazu(giant catfish that creates earthquakes). It is unknown whether it is a water element or an earth element. Aisuonna - A Yuki-onna(snow woman). Its element is water. Nagaihana - A Tengu(half bird, half human, with an extremely long nose). Its element is wind. Tanuki - An anthropomorphic(human-like) raccoon dog. Its element is earth. Yatagarasu - A three-legged crow. Its element is wind, and its partner is Amaterasu. Karasu Tengu - Later in the series, Nagaihana removes a mask, revealing an anthropomorphic bird. Its element is wind. Raijin - The king of the Oni/Akki(an ogre-like creature) capable of generating thunder from a drum, and lightning through his hands and eyes. It is unknown if he is a wind element or if there is an unknown thunder element. Fujin - Brother of Raijin, oni king of wind. Oushikemono - A Ushi-oni(half ox, half spider).
