I felt the shock of Yurikami’s punch more intense then it was. The fact that my nerves and my brain were in complete shock at what had happened made me want to slash myself to make it stop. She had hit me. The shock soon faded into understanding as my mind worked its way around what she had done. She had switched and caught me off guard. I cursed my own frivolous shock. Anger twitched inside. No not Dark just anger.
My hand went to my face.
“Dam Yurikami that hurt,” I smirked.
“I’ll do worse next time,” Yurikami said glaring at me. She had her katana back.
I sighed realizing that if I let my anger take control there would be undesired consequences. Ryusemi was still far away and I didn’t have any more chakra to move.
“Giving up?” Yurikami asked.
“Nope,” I answered.
“Hehehe so this is the party I wasn’t invited to,” a voice said.
Both Yurikami and I looked in the direction of the voice. It was Suki, but as I took in the chakra around her I knew it was not her.
“Suki,” Yurikami growled, “This does not concern you.”
“Sorry Suki isn’t here at the moment please leave your name and number after the beep. My name is Kenji.”
“I knew that chakra was different,” Yurikami said flatly, “but like I said, this doesn’t concern you.”
“And I care why?” Kenji asked cocking his head to one side and then the other.
“Don’t interfere!” Yurikami growled again, “Or I will kill you.”
“Big words for a small fry,” Kenji laughed.
As they talked I had been slowly backing away. This could definitely buy me some time to get Ryusemi. My hand soon found the hilt and I picked it up.
“You ok?” he asked.
“No.”
“You’re chakra is so low I’m surprised you aren’t out cold.”
“Thankssss for worrying.”
“What do you plan to do?”
“I have no idea…….”
I closed my eyes and began to think of a similar chess game I had played a while ago with myself. Two rooks against one knight…….hm……………
