I walked back slowly to D. Kyuubi and looked at him palely. He seemed happier than he had been a while and kept smirking. I kept a straight visage and released a sigh.
“Dark…..you look as if you are suffering,” D. Kyuubi said moving his head from one arm to the other, “Is it your mind again?”
“Yesssss,” I answered.
Ever since I had killed Hachimata I had the feeling that I was incomplete. I had taken everything from him, but I still felt hollow inside. D. Kyuubi prescribed this as a side effect that would go away in time, but through the three years it had only managed to get worse. The thing that I lacked seemed to burn a hole into my very being.
“Here,” D. Kyuubi said throwing a bottle at me, “Don’t kill yourself with it.”
“I took the bottle and took a large gulp. A numb feeling ran though me, and soon I could care less about whatever I lacked. I smiled up to him happily.
“Thanksssss,” I smiled grateful for the lack of feeling.
“Ya ya,” D. Kyuubi said moving his hand slowly though the air.
“Ssssso then,” I smiled, “What did you want me to do?”
“Make yourself useful and continue the hunt for Kyuubi. I want him dead,” D. Kyuubi answered, “And when you find him….call me so that I may deal with him personally.”
“Heh you alwayssss ssay that,” I answered.
“That is all I want no go!” he said his face changing to the commander he had become.
