I didn't know what was going on while I was unconscious. Instead, my mind was trapped in a memory... One that had made me the person I am today. I recounted the day I met Chishio.
~ ~ ~
I was four years old. Up until that point in my life, I had retained my normal human-like features, such as my sea green eyes and plain brown hair. Yet, even though I looked like any usual human girl, I certainly had a personality like that of a lone animal. I was standoffish and never had any friends. (Except for my brother, of course.) I had tried to befriend the other children of my age earlier, but they avoided me. My brother, being almost motherly, took me under his wing and practically raised me, due to the fact that our parents didn't care about either of us. Even so, I was an outcast and extremely disliked by the other children.
One morning, I had wandered into the bamboo forests near my countryside home. I had been kicked out of playing a game with the other youths and they had made fun of me even after I said I would leave. I was quite bitter and angry about it and was venting my dark thoughts out loud. "I wish I was powerful," I had spat. "I wish I could kill them, or at least make them cower in fear." I repeated such thoughts as I wandered deeper into the bamboo groves.
At one point I had lost all sense of direction and simply sat down where I was standing. The bamboo stalks were so close together, I could only see a few feet in front of me. Soon, I heard rustling coming from nearby. I jumped back up, startled. A deep-but-feminine voice rose from the depths of the forest with a low growl.
"I heard you talking about how you wanted to be powerful and scare the other humans away, right?"
I looked around to try to find the source of the voice, but it seemed to be everywhere. I tried to sound unafraid when replying, and it worked. "Yes. But what do you care? Show yourself to me."
I winced at the sound of cackling laughter. "You are very brave, child, to say such a thing when you don't know who you're talking to," the mystery creature shot back. All of a sudden, the bamboo stalks above me rattled with great ferocity as a giant animal leaped down from them in front of me. Her aura of power and confidence radiated right through me. I was mesmerized by her wild, untamed beauty.
The beast was definitely a demon, perhaps even a bijuu. She appeared to take the form of an oversized fox with strange markings, but I realized the markings belonged to that of a Red Panda. Around her neck was a thin strip of leather with a jade stone in the middle. Plants grew and wilted beneath her feet, and her twin tails twisted and writhed about. It was both a breathtaking and terrible sight to behold. She smirked when she saw me gawking at her.
"Come. I will show you how you can become strong. I can help you make those other humans who don't understand you bow down at your feet," she told me, motioning for me to climb on her back. Almost as if I was under an enchantment, I strolled over and heaved myself onto this bijuu's (I was certain she was a bijuu now) back.
We were off, shooting through the bamboo thickets at almost lightning speed. It was exhilarating. Time flew by just as fast as the bijuu was running. It was about midday when we reached a small hut perched precariously on a large hill. A woman who appeared to be a priestess was standing outside of it, waving enthusiastically. "I had a feeling you would come with a jinchuriki-to-be today!" she exclaimed to the bijuu. Wait... a jinchuriki-to-be? What was she talking about? Did she mean me?
As if to answer my question, the bijuu turned her head to look at me. "The only way for me to help you is for me to be sealed inside of you," she explained. "Are you alright with that?" I thought about the possibilities and repercussions of being a "host" for this bijuu, but I finally nodded my head. "Perform the ceremony or whatever you do to seal this bijuu inside of me," I said slowly. Both priestess and bijuu grinned at my decision.
I remember everything being rushed. The priestess was bustling about excitedly, repeating the line, "I can't believe this is finally happening!" while she did a number of thing in preparation. The bijuu ignored her, but I found her quite amusing as she scooted from place to place. Sometimes she would get caught up in her flowing robes and trip, and I would laugh.
But, all too soon, it was time to be serious, and I shall not drag things out any longer.
I was prepared to take the bijuu into my own flesh. Yet... I had no idea what her name was. The last thing I remembered was asking her, "Who are you?" She smiled, and replied, "My name is Chishio, child. Remember it well, because it will change your life forever." Right after that, I felt extreme pain as an inflow of chakra overtook me. Everything went black, and I fell into midnight oblivion.
I awoke at the edge of the bamboo forest. Groaning, (and wondering if that was all a dream) I pulled myself up. There was a puddle of water by me, and I looked at my relection to see if anything had changed. I gasped.
My eyes were now blood red. My hair had a reddish tint to it... And chakra was leaping from my body like flames. It took the shape of a two-tailed Red Panda.

I awoke with a jolt. Was I... in a hospital bed? Having no recollection of what happened before I blacked out yet, I began to shriek.
Someone please continue!

I dunno if the story Asuka recounted is even plausible. If it isn't, please tell me and I will edit! Thank you!
