appearance- He's small both in height and weight. Fair-skinned with dark brown hair and emerald eyes. He usually wears a baby-blue jacket and carries a photo of his family in the pocket.

dislikes- bullies, the words "mute" and "retarded", being around people he doesn't trust, seeing his friends get hurt
personality- Naoyuki's parents disappeared when he was eight years old. As a result, he's very insecure; he has a hard time connecting with others and almost never speaks, opting to use signing and charades to communicate instead. He tends to cling to people he trusts and push others away. This makes him a target for bullying from people who see him as a "special case". Naoyuki is actually intelligent, sweet and very sensitive.
background- Lives in a Sendai suburb in Japan. In his parents' absence, his teacher, Shizuyo, looked after him. Recently, Naoyuki's been reunited with his parents, but now finds himself in a difficult situation, as his father, especially, won't accept the changes in his personality -- it doesn't help that Naoyuki's been traumatized by an accident involving his only friends. current whereabouts-
Interacting with people in the OCU has helped Naoyuki to open up a bit more (though he's still shy around people he doesn't know well). He's almost always with Reka, he loves hanging out with Dewey and Jessie, and he has a sibling-like relationship with Katara and Gabriella.
