Thankyou for taking the time to check out this post, OCU Members. I'd like to confront an issue that has been reluctantly pointed out to me by several members of the OCU and find a solution to make RPing here more comfortable for everyone.
The issue surrounds magic vs realism RPs/characters.
Most of the OCs here are all realism or semi-realism characters, which obviously leads to them being in very life-like roleplays based on real life drama.
We usually accept all types of characters, but because of that, problems have risen up when characters+RPs don't mix. A few of you have magical characters or gods involved. Unfortunately, that makes it tough, confusing, and even awkward when your characters join a Real Life RP.
One solution will be to make sure you create your RP post specifically inviting the people/characters that you want to join, instead of making it public (of course, if you make it public, anyone is free to join).
Another solution is to mention on your RP post whether you are doing a Real Life RP or a Magic RP, or even Real/Magic if you don't care and want anyone to join with any types of characters. Magic characters will not be invited to Real Life RPs, and vice versa with Magic RPs/real life characters.
Anyone forcing their way into a 'restricted' RP will be warned or even suspended.
Please also check back to the Rules for other reminders.
ALSO as leader Toyotami kun suggested, if a Fantasy character wants to join a real RP, their characters must leave their magical abilities behind so that they can fit in without disturbance to the realistic RP.
Hopefully you all see the reasoning behind this request. It just makes more sense for magic and realism to be separate, UNLESS of course, u create or join a totally Open and Public RP without any guidelines mentioned.
Please do not feel like we are offending any of you or kicking anyone out, that is definitely no one's intention. We would like to resolve this as neatly as possible. Thankyou!
