Victor -- A Quiet Moment

Victor stared at this new kid Lepidus with a strange look on his face, presently he shook his head and looked at me. "How's the ankle, m'dear?" he asked.
"It's. . .fine" I brushed the hair out of my face. "Hey, can we get away from here? Find somewhere without anyone else?" I felt unwanted, I could tell that none of them liked us, except for Spati, maybe. . .but then I never got along with girls.
"I have the perfect place" Victor answered with a smile "Come on, we can slip away."
The two of us walked off unnoticed into the forest.
Soon it was twilight, we had arrived at a lake in the middle of the forest.
"So, did you like them?" asked Victor.
I stared at him. "I'm sorry." I mumbled "I didn't think they'd act like that! I. . .I just wanted to finally make some friends, but it seems that's impossible for me. I always. . ." I was lost for words, I couldn't express what I was feeling. Like, being all alone for most of my life. . .my parents never had the time for me so I had to entertain myself. I hated that huge apartment, I hated it when I was alone. Being overly successful in college and then in work hadn't endeared me to anyone, either. They all assumed I'd be happy, and I admit I was good at faking things. . .but I wish that people would have liked me for who I was not for my money.
Then I felt arms around me. Victor was hugging me very tightly. "I know" he sounded almost choked up. "I know, you don't have to say anymore! I'm so very sorry I screwed everything up for you, too." he sighed "I guess I over did it. I always seem to piss people off; I can't help it. It's what I do. . .it's what we do" he looked at me and grinned.
I grinned back at him. "Well, I said quietly, we could leave them or we could stay and weather it out. I'm sure the two of us could get away if we really needed to!"
"That's right!" Victor laughed "We just need to watch out for that adorable Yuuki, she didn't like us at all, I'm afraid."
I sighed "Lord! What I wouldn't give for a shower. I must be covered in in four different types of blood, guts, dirt, and who knows what else!"
Victor looked at the lake suggestively.
"Oh no! Not me!" I got up and backed away"
"Come on! Don't be such a baby." Victor taunted.
"Hell no!" I started to run but Victor caught up with me.
"Darling, you stink like nobodies business. We've been travailing for days, not to mention we were in a nasty battle or two. You need it." And with that he threw me into the lake.
I yelped as I hit the freezing water.
"You asshole!" I shouted, but Victor just snickered. He paused for a moment then ran to the edge of the lake, stopped and made an elegant dive into the water.
