~Maria~
"You can go now" Skylar said, and suddenly I found myself outside, without having even the chance to smile and nod.
"Well, " I thought, "that was a little weird."
I walked back down the hall and stepped inside my own room, without meeting anyone else. I kind of wondered, as I closed the door, where Spati, Moonsong, and Leon had gotten to. I didn't waste a lot of time wondering, as I saw Tessa curled up on the rooms only bed, sound asleep.
I touched her shoulder and shook her gently, but she didn't even stir. Shrugging, I grabbed one of the pillows from under her head and curled up on the floor. She and I would have to arrange something when we both woke up, since I wasn't intending to sleep on the floor every night.
Come to think of it, I wasn't going to be able to sleep on the floor tonight--there was too much going on inside my head. I wasn't sure what had gotten into me lately, but I couldn't stay focused, could't devote my whole attention to the plan to bring Leon down.
I stood up, and paced the room for a few minutes, before deciding that I needed to fly, to gain some distance from everything.
I left my room, and the sleeping Tessa, and searched until I found the way up to the roof. Once there, I spread my wings, and flew, in an ever-widening spiral.
Finally exhausted, I flew back and went to my room, and found Tessa awake.
"We need to talk" She said and I nodded.
"Later, Tessa, I need to get some sleep."

After Maria came in and blew me off (as usual), I decided to explore the place in my own, seeing with my own eyes the things Maria had encountered.
I walked for a long while, my footsteps echoing through the empty halls. It was odd though, for all the echoes were strangely muted. It's tough to explain.
Soon, I found myself in the kitchen, and I sat at a table, and wondered where everyone was.
