Victor -- Too Easy

Something about this whole expedition was wrong. Leon hadn't popped up, no cameras or surveillance. This was WAY too easy.
"So, sweetheart, you're looking for something different. Papers, books, journals, anything; graphs, charts, maps. Got it?"
Tessa nodded, immediately riffling through papers, searching through books.
Victor scanned the room, discretely poking a hole in his finger, letting a few drops fall to the floor and sending them off to probe corners and search in out of the way places. He didn't want to be caught, he didn't want Leon to find out.
"Do you see anything?" He asked, glancing at the door once again.
"Yeah, I see a lot of stuff, this would be easier if you'd tell me exactly what we're looking for." She snapped, wiping her forehead. "Is it just me or is the temperature rising?"
That was it. Suddenly realization hit Victor; Leon was a genius! This is exactly what he would have done had he been in Leon's place.
"Drop everything, get out of here, FAST."
"What's wrong?!"
"Heat, body heat, get OUT. NOW. RUN."
Tessa dropped the papers she had grabbed and ran for the door, pulling at it. "It won't open!"
"No! No no no nononnonononono. Step aside, Victor summoned a strong wind and set it to cooling the two of them off, with a covert movement, he sliced open his wrist, managing to hide the movement from Tessa. Letting the blood run to his fingers, he transformed it into a long saber, and, chanting in the language of Gods he rammed the sword through the door.
Tessa screamed in surprise. The door cracked and burst open, grabbing her by the wrist, he pulled them both out of the room and started running as fast as he could. The two of them ran and ran until they got outside, then using a sharp wind to cut in his back; the blood formed into two huge wings and, grabbing a better hold on Tessa, leaped into the air, flying high into the sky, so high that the air got thinner and colder. He needed to cool them down. Just as they reached as high as was safe he realized that Tessa was beating against his chest and shouting at him.
"What do you think you're doing?! LET ME DOWN. IDIOT. CRAZY."
Victor blinked at her "If I let go of your lovely waist you'd fall and smash your little body to pieces." Was the matter of fact answer.
"Why are we up here?" She asked, glaring angrily at Victor.
"Because we needed to cool off. If we'd been in that room a second longer we'd have burned up from the inside."
Tessa was silent after he said that. Victor had just saved her life and he hadn't needed to.
"I'll set you down now, though, you'll be safe. I'm sure that this must be highly awkward for you." Victor started his decent, making sure to keep an easy pace so as not to cause Tessa any discomfort.
Once they reached the ground he set her gently on her feet and stepped back so she wouldn't feel cornered. They were far enough away from the building, where if something happened no one could hear or see a thing, and he knew that Tessa was aware of that fact.
"I've erased any trace of you in that room, so he won't know you were in there. You don't have to worry; you are safe." He paused for a moment, not sure what to say that would make her feel comfortable; he had grown to like Tesser. She was strange, which was cute. "If you continue on down the road that you'll find if you walk about five minutes from here, you'll reach Leon's place in twenty minutes. Wait a little bit before you start off, though, just in case. Anyway, I should leave now, don't want to make you nervous. It was fun, Tesser." He laughed a little and ambled off in the opposite direction from the one he had pointed out to Tessa.
