I looked at Ciel, and almost melted at the sight of the hope in his eyes. "About that. Would now be a bad time to tell you that I'm pretending to be on Leon's side. I know he's not really buying it, but I have no desire to get killed unless I can be sure that I'm doing some good."
I paused to catch my breath, then stood and looked out the door again.
"Let's go, but hang back a bit" I said. "If we get caught...well, I don't think I need to remind you how powerful Leon is."
We walked out into the hall together, and followed Leon. As we drew nearer, I began to pick up faint traces of Moonsong's aura. Once it was strong enough, I said, "We're getting close. Keep alert."
