After walkking for about an hour,Sasuke managed to find his teammates.Karin ran over immediatley and ambushed him with annoying questions."Sasuke-kun!You're alright!And look at you,you're a mess!You should be more careful!Where's Itachi?!"Tsuigetsu came up behind her and replied in a whiney voice,"Man,Karin,give the guy a breakwill ya?!Don't go all girly on him,it's gross comin from an ugly hag like you."Karin shook her fist ih his face,"Why you little!!"Then the two started fighting,meanwhile Juugo smiled at Sasuke,"We're just glad you made it back."When Sasuke didnt reply, Juugo continued listening to the birds next to him.Sasuke was getting irritated from Tsuigetsu and Karin fighting and started to walk away."Sasuke-kun,where are you going?!"asked Karin as she hit Tsuigetsu on the head."OW!!that hurt idiot!!" "I'm going to kill Madara."replied Sasuke in a steely voice,activated his sharingan, and walked into the forest darkness.
Naruto:
Meanwhile, Naruto's kage bunshins continued to search frantically for Sasuke. One bunshin was jumping from tree to tree when he heard voices and dropped down behind a bush.Sasuke and his teammates stepped out of the trees ahead and two of them were arguing."Way to go,Man!You finally got your revenge!said a teenage boy with razor sharp teeth and a giant broadsword slung across his back."What are you so happy for?!He could have been killed!"retorted a female shinobi as she pushed up her glasses in annoyance."Will you two be quiet."said Sasuke without a backword glance.Naruto held his breath,Sa-suke!!he thought.Suddenly Sasuke stopped and looked in his direction."That chakra,is that..?"thought Sasuke."Naruto,come out.I know you're there."Naruto's heart pounded in his chest as he stepped out in front of them."Sasuke,I'm taking you back."his voice filled with determination.Sasuke closed his eyes and laughed mockingly,"Persistent fool,I told youit's too late." "NO!!"shouted Naruto angrily.Sasuke's eyes snapped open in surprise."It's not too late!You're here and I'm still breathing so I'm taking you back with me!!We trained for two and a half years so we could bring you home!"Naruto's fists shook at his sides,"And Sakura-Sakura still loves you!You know how much pain you've caused her?!"Sasuke's heart skipped a beat at the sound of her name."Sakura.."he thought as he memories of them standing at the village gate filled his mind. *FLASHBACK:
"I love you more than anything!!"yelled Sakura her eyes filled with tears."I have family and I have friends;but..If you leave..it will be the same as being alone!That's why..if you can't stay...please..take me with you."SASuke turned and smiled ruefully,"Hmph,even after all this time..you're still- annoying."As he started walking away, Sakura started to run after him,"Don't go!If you do I'll-I'll scream!"Sasuke was no longer in front of her but behind.The two stood still for a moment as the gentle breeze blew leaves around them."Sakura...thank you."Sakura's eyes widened in amazement but her thoughts were dissrupted as she felt a pain in the back of her head and her mind began to fade.AS she fell into unconsciousness,she managed to whisper,"Sasuke..kun..."
*Present:
Sasuke was brought back to reality by Naruto's voice."I waited my whole life for the kind of bond I made with you.You're like a brother to me!!"his voice rang with emotion and tears streamed down his face.Guilt welled up inside Sasuke; but he shut the feeling down quickly."Naruto...I can't go back to the others.You don't understand,that part of me is dead."Naruto shook his head"We need you!We're fighting a member of Akatsuki right now!And he has the sharingan!!" "Madara..."Sasuke muttered angrily to himself then sighed."I'm not going to the village;but take me to Madara.I'll kill him myself."Naruto was surprised,"R-really?!"Ssuke igmored him and continued walking,"Hurry up or I'll find him myself."Naruto smiled excitedly and shouted after him,"Alright!LEt's go!" and ran after him.Tsuigetsu looked at Karin in confusion and asked,"W-What just happend?" "Pst,like I know,come on you lazy idiot or I'll leave you behind!"retorted Karin dramaticly.Juugo simply followed leaving Tsuigetsu alone."Hey!Wait up,come ooon!!"
Itachi Has Fallen!The Truth Revealed!!
Itachi stumbled towards Sasuke,blood streming from his eyes and mouth."Your eyes...are mine."Sasuke was trapped,his back against the wall was the only thing keeping him from falling. Itachi slowly reached out his hand ready to take his brother's eyes that he had waited so long for, and Sasuke was powerless to stop him.sasuke screamed in his mind,"Is this it?!Is this how it all ends?!!" Itachi's fingers were inches from success when he suddenly coughed up a mouthful of blood and collapsed.As he fell he missed Sasuke's eyes and only managed to poke him on the forehead.Sasuke's heart skipped a beat as memories of his childhood flew through his mind.Sasuke was 8 years old again and standing impatiently next to his brother."Can you help me with shuriken practice today,brother?" Itachi waved a hand dismissively,"I don't have time today,why don't you ask Father?"the young boy gave him a stubborn look,"But you're better at shuriken throwing,Father even said so."Itachi poked Sasuke on the forehead and said,"Forgive me,Sasuke maybe next time."Reurning his focus on the present, Sasuke stared down at his older brother in unbelief. Itachi who had been proclaimed as a prodigy "the pride of the Uchiha" lay on the ground broken and drenched in blood.Sasuke closed his eyes and thought,"It's over..it's finally over."The sound of something moving made him open his eyes in amazement,Itachi was still alive but barely. The older Uchiha opened his mouth and managed to speak alittle higher than a whisper,"Forgive me...Sa-su-ke."Sasuke couldnt believe what he was hearing,Sasuke in horror and anger yelled back,"What did you say?!"Itachi opened his eyes with a distant look."Forgive..me...it seems-you've surpassed me-after all."Sasuke laughed mockingly and retorted,"Forgive you?!!I can never forgive you for what you've done!I hate you!!"A small grin crossed Itachi's face as he turned his head to look up at him,"I see.*cough *cough But you must know the reason why."Rage built within Sasuke and yelled,"You told me!You did it to get your filthy hands on power!You killed our parents for your own AMBITION!!"Sasuke clenched his fists and his body shook with fury."Yes-that was part of it.*cough But..deep down...I did it to-free you.""Free me?!FRom what?!""The clan...'sasuke was speechless,"They would have made you a puppet-their foolish philosophy of bringing honor to the clan-protecting the clan...They would have broken you,limiting your true potential.Itachi started to cough up more blood uncontrollably and his breathing came in short gasps, and Sasuke stepped closer."You-accepted me-not as the Uchiha prodigy..but as an ordinary brother.For that-I was grateful." "Grateful??I..I thought of him as a rival."thought Sasuke.He was filled with mixed emotions and pounded his fist against the wall,"Shut up!!Why don't you just die?!"Itachi's breath came faster and cringed in pain."If you-can no longer think of me-as your brother-remember-that you have another.."Sasuke didnt understand,"What are you talking about I only had one..!""Uzumaki,Naruto...he was the friend you could'nt kill-was he not?*cough "He said-you are like a brother-to him.""N-Naruto?That idiot?!"he thought to himself."Hmph,I severed that bond long ago.I have no brother!"Itachi chuckled softly,"I doubt it-in any case..you are the last of the Uchiha besides Madara.But don't forget-N-Na-ru-to.."Itachi coughed up more blood and his breathing slowed."Sasuke grabbed him by his shirt furiously and yelled,"I don't take orders from you,Itachi!!"The older Uchiha's eyes glazed over as he whispered in a final breathe,"Farwell...brother.."Itachi's body suddenly went limp in Sasuke's grip."Itachi!Itachi!!"Sasuke shouted but his voice only echoed throughout the valley."He's-gone."He laid his brother down again and closed his eyes.Sasuke then slowly walked away into the forest leaning on the tree trunks for support.His last thought before moving deeper into the darkness of the forest was,Farewell...Uchiha...Itachi."
