The shower felt amazing. I just stood there, letting the water wash over my body. It was soothing, something I needed. As I got out, I saw my naked form in the mirror and noticed that my body had scars along my stomach and towards my back. The effects of being tortured in the Shadow World meant I had to live with seeing my mistake every day.
I noticed that one of the scars looked like a lightning bolt. Turning to get a better look at the scar on my back, I saw that it wasn't a lightning bold at all. My torturer had carved the word Satan into my skin. Dropping to my knees, I held onto the sink, my forehead resting on the cool counter.
I took a few shallow breaths. As long as I didn't let anyone look at my naked body, I was fine. It wouldn't be seen, and it didn't mean anything. I was safe where I was.
"Dia," I whispered, grabbing a towel to wrap around my body.
"Yes?" she asked flying out of the necklace that was still around my neck.
"I need you to come up with a spell. A spell that keeps Shunsuke and myself off the map, undetectable by the demons. We can't have a repeat of yesterday. I don't want them following our scent back here as we speak. Can you put up a potective charm around the two of us?"
Dia nodded. "I know just the charm. You go to bed and in the morning, not demon will be able to trace either of you."
I nodded and began getting dressed. "Thanks, Dia."
I walked into Shunsuke's room, where I found him passed out on his bed. I couldn't help but make my way over to the bed and fall asleep next to him. As tired as we were, I wondered if we were going to sleep through school. Not that I would mind. A good few days rest was just what we needed.
I fell asleep dreaming of the angel and the good things to come.
