"I don't know what to say," he muttered. "I really never saw us in a relationship." My heart skipped a beat. Was he not going to tell me what I needed to hear, what I thought he felt about me? He looked over at me and continued, "But that slowly started to change, when I whent to the shadow world, that's when I realised what I felt," he said looking away.
I smiled at his shyness. It was cute.
"But I don't care if you had any other man in your life or that you're a demon hunter becuse that will never change how really feel about you. Because I will ALWAYS be with you," he said before leaning in and kissing me.
I thoroughly enjoyed kissing him. I loved the feeling of his hands in my hair, on my shoulders, down my back, on my hips. I liked feeling his broad shoulders, the muscles in his arms and chest. He was all mine, and the thought both terrified and thrilled me.
He finally broke apart, and we stayed there for a few minutes just enjoying the thought of us being together. "But why did you suddently ask?" he asking, holding on to my hand.
"Oh right," I nodded, shifting so that I was more comfortable. "What do you think about meeting my family?"
He looked taken aback. "Meet your family?"
"Yes," I nodded. "I haven't seen them in such a long time. I really want to introduce you to them, and I'm sure they'll be delighted in meeting you, especially after they find out how serious we are."
He looked a little nervous by the idea. "But, what about me breathing there?"
I squeezed his hands gently. "Dia can cast another spell that will last for a few hours, and I can have our spell-caster place a bubble around the house so you can survive. Now that I am partly human, I will need the oxygen to breathe as well, so they'll understand."
"Oh, right," he nodded. "I keep forgetting that."
I shrugged. "Another reason I want to tell my parents about you is so that they quit trying to set up marriage deals for me. I received a message a couple of days ago that they found some Nobleman's son for me. So, I'll have to meet up with him when we get there. Of course, I'll tell him I'm taken, so don't worry about it," I assured him.
"Ok, well, when do you want to go?" he asked. I couldn't read his face and how he was feeling about the whole thing. He seemed pretty calm.
"I was thinking tomorrow since it is the weekend? This way we can stay in the castle, and you can see where I grew up," I suggested. "I know it is short notice, but if it doesn't work, I can arrange for it to be in a few days instead?"
"No, no. That should be fine." he nodded in agreement.
I smiled, happy that everything was finally working out.
