"I don't want you pushing yourself. The demon blood had to dominate the human part of you. You need to stay in bed today. Tomorrow we'll go out and get you used to your new body and abilities," Hana told me.
I groaned, not wanting to waste the day by laying around, but I had just gotten what I wanted, and I figured it would be a good idea not to push my luck. I'd do what they told me to for today.
"Fine, I could get used to you guys waiting on me hand and foot," I teased, catching Hyaku's eyes. "Or just you waiting on me," I grinned.
"That's cute," Koori said with a chuckle. I blushed at this, not used to the whole dating thing and public displays of affection. "Hana, Lin, and I can scoot on out of here so you guys can have time alone."
Hana smiled as she left my side and walked to Lin and out the door, Koori on her heels. Hyaku turned and looked at me with a smile. "Well, you're actually going to listen and do what you're told?"
I shrugged my shoulders. "Ya, well, I figure I owe you guys that much." He came and sat next to me on the bed. "Thank you for doing this for me. I know how hard it had to have been for you, and I appreciate it all the same."
He smiled. "It was easier to decide after talking to Koori."
"You know, that guy is really good with helping us get together and sort out our feelings," I mentioned. "We really need to thank him for that. Without him, I'm not sure where we'd be."
"I think if things are meant to be, they'll always find a way," Hyaku responded.
"True," I nodded. I reached up and grabbed him by the back of his neck and pulled him down to my lips so that I could kiss him. Being in my new demon body, I figured I was a new person. Pulling back, I said, "So, I'm basically a totally different person than I was before, right?"
He frowned, thinking a moment. "Yes, I guess so."
"Well, than that means that that was my first kiss and I'm a virgin again, right?"
