The Copy Ninja fights

Mizuki's POV

Mizuki watched in horror as part of her wolf disappeared in the air. The frame, handed down to her by her father, was very important to her, and now it was likely irrecoverable.

With one hand she pulled the whole wolf, Brynhildr, to attack Kakashi, grumbling when he pulled a kunai to counter its attacks. With her other she grew back the other, now crippled, wolf, Sigurd into its full form. Sigurd's ice body was weaker, now that it didn't have a frame to base itself around.

She moved Sigurd to fight the unprotected Kakashi, only to have him counter by creating a shadow clone, while Brynhildr fought the real Kakashi.

She was finally able to manipulate Brynhildr swiftly enough to rip the kunai out of Kakashi's hand. The ninja quickly jumped to a tree, level with her, and used Water Bullet Jutsu at her.

She tried to dodge, but her feet weren't quick enough beneath her. She slammed into the trunk of her own tree, and struggled to get up to her feet.

Part of Sigurd's frame is lost, and those frames were the only thing I brought from my old home, and now part of it's gone. Is it wise to keep fighting? Defeat seem almost inevitable...

No. I must keep fighting. If only for Saint's sake, I must keep fighting.

She stood up and manipulated both Sigurd and Brynhildr to attack him at once, only to watch in horror as a large part of Brynhildr disappear, following the missing half of Sigurd.

If I keep fighting... there'll be nothing left... nothing left of the frames, nothing left to remind me of my father...

She thought of his kind, smiling face, and made a decision.

She would quit.

Brynhildr slowly grew back, and she brought both wolves up to her and started petting their icy coats.

"I'll give you credit. You are a worthy opponent, but there are people waiting for me back at the village." Kakashi said.

Feeling deep sorrow deep in her breast, Mizuki continued to focus on her crippled wolves. "You win." She waited, being sure he had left before risking turning her back on him.

As soon as she heard his footsteps walk away, she looked up after him before standing up and finding out how Saint fared in his battle.
