Okay. So it might not be right to eavesdrop. But I couldn't help it. And now...my brother had asked a girl on a date! Even after our talk I was sure he'd chicken out but he hadn't!
I had to run out of the kitchen really fast to keep anyone from hearing my giggle like an insane person. I still got some strange looks, but I didn't care. All I wanted right now was to run outside and spin around in happy circles. This was aweso--
And just like that...I hit a brick wall. Well, not a wall really. A person. A guy. He stumbled back a little to save both of us from falling over.
"I'm sorry...." I could feel my face getting red. Really red.
"It's okay." He' smiled down at me, which just made my face get redder. "Are you alright?"
I nodded slowly.
"I'm Locke."
"I'm Melina..."
"Nice to meet you."
"Yeah...I should go..."
"Oh. Okay."
Carefully, I moved away from him and made myself walk slowly to the hall my room was in. I wanted to just run away, but I doubted my legs would let me do that anyway. Oh my gosh he was really cute....and I ran away from him. Not that anything would happen anyway. I was no good around guys. Most of them scared me. This one was probably like the rest. When it came down to it, the only guy I would ever really trust was Keefer. And I'd have to get along without him again soon.
