SECRET ENDING???

Mash and Windy wrote their own ending and it is glorious.

They wrote it when I was finishing a certain point in Sam’s monologue, but it could work for after he finishes, too. yup.

------------

Most of the time, I would just sit out in the waiting room working on my homework. But there were some days where my father would come and get me to show me his latest experiment. I’d get there, only to find that Cameron was already present. He was changing, too. He’d started skipping school so that he could spend more time with Dad at the lab. And you know what? Dad was okay with it. He was perfectly okay with his twelve year old son becoming a crazed scientist like him.

"Oh nooooo," Ela says. "I don't even care but I do secretly but I'm not gonna show you that and I'm angry still so I'ma walk away."
Ela walks away all mad and stuff.
"Oh noooooo," Sam cries. He is so very, very sad.
He follows her out into the hallway, calling her name.
"Ela!"

"What?" she replies, turning around dramatically, her hair shining in the light from the chandelier. "What do you want from me," she asks, eyes watery and lips trembling.

"Baby, all I want is you." Sam grabs Ela's hands and pulls her close to him, and she looks up at him, tears threatening to spill over. He swoops her down into some kind of pose and kisses her.

"Ooooh, Sam," Ela whispers. "How could I ever have been mad at you, you gorgeous fella, you?"
"I am home now," he whispers fondly into her hair. "And also my shirt has come undone?"

Ela admires the well-formed chest under the undone shirt. It seemed as though he has sprayed some body glitter on it, as it is glistening and shiny and oh-so inviting.

"Come, we shall do the thing!" he announces. "And I will leave my pants ON."

"Oh, no, we can't! It would be improper!"
"But we must," he replies, "for LOVE."
"Oh, and I DO love you, I do! I just...I can't. Not in this state of mind! Love will find a way! Just not tonight. Tonight, we cuddle. Lose the shirt."
"Then we cuddle without shirts and with pants on."
"No, my shirt's staying on. Unless you've got the alcohol?"
"I have so many of the alcohol, I swear."

And so they drink themselves silly, and Ela rips off her shirt and swings it around her head, screaming, "If you like then you'd better put a ring on it!"

And Sam puts a ring on it. He puts a ring on it so fast she is left trembling with pure happiness and joy.

Then they get married and have lots of babies.
