Hello Everyone,
I was hoping to be able to post about a few matches today like i usually do, but it doesnt look like ill be able to get to it today (im going to shoot for tommorrow lol). However, This morning before coming home from work, I did manage to buy the newest WWE wrestling dvd that has been released -
Macho Madness: The Randy Savage Collection
Im sure you all know who The "Macho Man" Randy Savage is, whether you have watched him wrestle, or if youve seen him in Slim Jim commercials lol. Well this dvd covers pretty much his entire career from WWF thru WCW. Ive spent most of the day watching the 3 disc dvd set and ive really been enjoying it, especially the earlier WCW matches from the mid 90's. Ive always liked the Macho Man and you better believe im going to be posting about some of the matches from this dvd for sure lol. If you are a wrestling fan, this dvd is pretty much a must buy because it shocases the story of one of the best ever :)
Im probably going to do some upgrading to this world in the next couple of days, by adding some more pics in the introduction, as well as a total list of all of my wrestling dvds as well, so if you are a regular visitor of this world, be sure to check back throughout the week and let me know what you think of the changes :) All feedback is certainly appreciated lol.
Well i certainly thank you all for visiting and i hope to chat with you all soon :)
stay strong,

Extreme Championship Wrestling - December 9th, 1995
Triple Threat Match for the ECW World Heavyweight Title
Mikey Whipwreck(c) VS. Steve Austin VS. The Sandman
This match was pretty crazy lol. Before the match even started, Steve Austin attacked The Sandman in the back locker room , which caused The Sandman to miss most of the match. The rules of this match were typical triple threat rules, but in ECW they used the elimination rule - which means that once you are pinned/submitted, you are eliminated from the match, and the match continues until there is a pin/submission between the last 2 wrestlers. Steve Austin had just been fired from the WCW wrestling promotion and he burst onto the ECW scene with alot of fury and picked fights with everyone and talked trash about everybody he didnt like lol. He wasnt in ECW long, but while he was there he blazed a trail a mile wide lol. This particular match was pretty cool because mikey Whipwreck was a major underdog, and Steve Austin was an established wrestler from a bigger promotion looking to destroy the opposition by any means neccessary, and he did just that. Steve Austin made short work of mikey Whipwreck with 3 piledrivers (one on the concrete outside of the ring) and his finishing move back then - The Stun Gun. While i was watching this match, i thought they were going to award him the ECW title, since the Sandman wasnt able to compete, but The Sandman dragged himself to the ring and was able to upset Steve Austin for the win and the ECW Title.
NWA Chi-Town Rumble February 20th, 1989
NWA World Heavyweight Championship Match
Ric Flair(c) VS. Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat
This is absolutely one of my favorite matches ever. The chemistry between Flair and Steamboat is clearly evident in this match, and it is one of the greatest technical matches ive seen thats for sure. Watching both of these men in their prime go against each other is probably the best wrestling youll ever see, because they knew each others skills so well. Each had a reversal for the other guy's reversal and it went on and on. I still watch this match from time to time because it stands the test of time. When i watch it now, its shocking that it took place in 1989, because it was such a revolutionary match for that time period. I can sit here and tell you every detail about this match, but it has to be seen to be believed. All i can tell you is that after battling back and forth for the better part of half an hour, Ricky Steamboat was able to roll up Flair for the win and the NWA World Title. If you are a fan of wrestling, you havent lived until youve seen this match. I promise you that :)
Ring of Honor - April 2nd, 2005
New Japan Pro Wrestling - Super Juniors Tournament - Round 1
Bryan Danielson VS. Spanky (aka Brian Kendrick)
I actually really enjoyed watching this match, especially because i hadnt seen much of the ROH style of wrestling and competition. Bryan Danielson is widely considered the best technical wrestler in the world today, and Spanky has been known to be quite well rounded and very capable as well. Ironically enough, both of these wrestlers were at one time training together under another popular wrestler - Shawn Micheals. This particular match included heavy amounts of the japanese style of wrestling, and i was really impressed by all of the reversals and seeing moves i had never seen before, especially submission moves lol. Both men certainly lived up to their reputations and skill levels, but in the end only one person can win to advance to the 2nd round, and that man would be Bryan Danielson after he connected with his Regalplex finisher for the win :)
I thank you all for visiting and i hope you all enjoyed the post :) if you have any questions about any of the matches, feel free to message me anytime :) I hope to chat with you all soon :)

Hello everyone :)
Its been a good while since i last posted some wrestling stuff, so i figured today was a goood a day as any to get back into the groove :) So here we go :)
WWF Moday Night Raw - April 3rd 1995
WWF Women's Championship Match
Bull Nakano(champion) VS. Alundra Blayze
This match was on the newest wrestling dvd i bought about a month ago, and everyone that knows me knows that im not much of a fan of the WWE's version of women's wrestling lol. Im not sexist or anything, it just hasnt appealed to me. However, i was always a fan of Alundra Blayze (aka "Medusa" in World Championship Wrestling). She had quite a big move arsenal and her German Suplex finisher made me an immediate fan lol. When i saw this match on the dvd chapters at work one night a couple of weeks ago, myself and one of the guys i work with figured we would check it out. (He is a wrestling fan too). We started watching it and we were glad we did because it was high impact the entire time lol. apparently Bull Nakano (The larger japanese woman) had beaten Alundra Blayze in Japan for the Women's Championship 4 months earlier in Japan, so there was bad blood already brewing between them. The match itself was fast paced, and it became one of my favorites when Bull Nakano connected with a top rope leg drop about halfway through the match lol. Each woman took some pretty hard bumps, especially when both women attempted dives outside of the ring. The turning point in the match was when Alundra Blayze German Suplexed Bull Nakano on the floor outside of the ring lol. After about 3 more German Suplexes, Alundra Blayze was able to pin Bull Nakano for the win and the Women's Championship. The best women's wrestling match ive seen so far :)
WWF Smackdown -May 24th 2001
Fatal Four Way Tables, Ladders & Chairs Match for the WWF Tag Team Championship
Edge & Christian
VS.
Chris Jericho & Chris Benoit(champions)
VS
Matt & Jeff Hardy
VS
Bubba Ray & D-Von Dudley
This match was hardcore lol. This match involved 4 teams, with 2 men on each team. The World Tag Team Titles were hanging from a cable above the middle of the ring, and the object of the match was to use Tables, Laders and chairs to incompacitate your opponent so you can climb the ladder and grab the title belts. This match has everything - people getting hit with chairs, people falling through tables, falling off ladders - everything. I really liked this match because it was all done really well and the crowd was really into it. The crowd gets so loud at some points that you can barely hear the commentators lol. I personally like alot of people in the ring wrestling all at once, so i felt right at home watching this match, it was just nonstop action and mayhem all over the place. I could list everything that happens in the match, but it just has to be seen to be believed lol. In the end Chris Jericho and Chris Benoit retained their titles, but it sure took it's toll lol.
Wrestlemania X - March 20th 1994
Ladder Match for the Intercontinental Championship
Razor Ramon(champion) VS. Shawn Micheals(fake champion)
Everyone that likes wrestling knows this match lol. the origin of this confrontation began when Shawn Micheals was suspended for not defending his Intercontinental title accordingly. He refused to give the title belt to the WWF during his suspension, so the WWF set up a battle royal, and the winner would be awarded a newly made Intercontinental Championship Belt. Razor Ramon ended up winning the battle royal and the new belt, but when Shawn Micheals came back - he came back with his Intercontinental title belt as well and claimed he was the real champion because he had never been beaten for it. The WWF set the match for Wrestlemania 10 to decide the undisputed IC champ, and they decided it would be contested in a Ladder Match. Back in 1994 the WWf didnt really have hardcore matches mostly because it was a child frindly company, but this match broke the mold really quick lol. Both wrestlers used the ladder and the environment in ways no one had ever seen in wrestling back then and it was truly groundbreaking. I remember watching this match when i was younger and me and my friends thought it was the greatest match ever lol. This is one of the matches that helped Pro Wrestling evolve into what it is today and opened doors to endless possibilities in the world of wrestling. Both men brought everything they had, but after Shawn Micheals was pushed off the ladder, he landed on the ropes, causing his leg to get tangled up allowing Razor Ramon to climb to the top of the ladder and pull down both Intercontinental titles for the win :)
Wrestlemania VI - April 1st 1990
WWF World Heavywight Championship & Intercontinental Champioship Match
Hulk Hogan(champion) VS. Ultimate Warrior(champion)
Hulk Hogan was the WWf World Champion, and the Ultimate Warrior was the Intercontinental Champion and this match had both titles on the line. This was basically a dream match back then. I remember watching this feud back then and i remember not knowing who to root for lol. Both wrestlers had a huge fan base and they were both very powerful, charismatic and capable in the ring. Both wrestlers had an aura about them - as if they were superheros and that only magnified the importance of the match. there wasnt really alot of fancy holds or stuff we hadnt seen before, but it was awesome to see both forces collide because it had never been seen before, and it is very rare that 2 fan favorites wrestle each other in the main event of Wrestlemania. This match was dubbed "The Ultimate Challenge" and it was indeed just that :) In the end it was 2 men wrestling for the ultimate prize. Both men were equally matched, but on this night the ultimate Warrior was just a split second better and he managed to dodge Hogan's Leg drop Finishing move and land his Ultimate Big Splash to win both titles and become the first double title holder in WWF history. Hogan showed respect by handing the Warrior the title and congratulating him and took one more step towards immortality :)
Well, i think that will be all for today, hopefully i can try to get a post up on my Anime universe world before it gets too late LOL. I thank you all for visiting and i hope you all enjoy the post :) hope to chat soon

Here are 3 more matches that ive chosen for today :)
NWA-TNA Victory Road 2004
TNA X Division Championship Match
Petey Williams(champion) VS. The Phenomenal A.J. Styles
I was able to watch this match a few years ago when i bought a 2 disc dvd set called TNA's Best of the X Division. At that time, TNA had little exposure on network tv, and they were hopping around from strictly pay-per-view shows, to some channels on tv. I found this dvd set one night while i was at work and decided to buy it and see what TNA was about, and i was really surprised by what i saw. This was one of the first matches that i managed to watch and it made me a fan of some of the TNA wrestlers, especially Petey Williams and his Canadian Destroyer (Flipping Piledriver) finishing move. The wrestlers in TNA can pretty much do anything and during this match, both men showcased alot of moves and reversals that i hadnt seen before in the wrestling of today. It also helped me adjust to the 6 sided wrestling ring that TNA uses. all in all, the match was a sight to see, because the physical skill level of both wrestlers was above anything i had prepared for. Just when i thought A.J Styles was about to win, Petey Williams recieved some help from his manager and was able to hit his Canadian Destroyer finishing move from the middle turnbuckle for the win :)
WCW Halloween Havoc - October 26th, 1997
WCW Cruiserweight Title Match - Title & Mask are on the line
Eddie Guerrero(champion) VS. Rey Mysterio Jr.
If Rey Mysterio Loses, he must remove his mask
I personally tried to find a different style of match for this post, and while i was looking through my dvds, i saw my Rey Mysterio dvd and i remembered some good matches were on there, especially containing the Lucha Libre (mexican style of wrestling) wrestling style. Back in the day, WCW flourished with the lucha libre style with many of the greatest wrestlers like Eddie Guerrero, Psicosis, Juventud Guerrera, rey Mysterio, and also Dean Malenko. This match won Match of the Year in 1997, and ushered in a wave of fans towards the style and the wrestlers. The Stipulation for this match was Title VS. Mask match. If Eddie Guerrero loses, he would lose the Cruiserweight title, but if Rey Mysterio Jr. loses, he must remove his mask forever. I know it sounds silly, but The mask is actually pretty sacred in Mexican wrestling culture. Some mexican wrestlers sometimes never take their mask off, or show their faces to anyone even their families. To lose your mask is considered disgraceful in a way, so im sure you can all understand what it means to them. The match itself was very good, fast paced, iventive and very aggressive. Both men performed moves that no one had seen at the time. Rey Mysterio fended off the much larger Eddie guerrero's attempts to rip off his mask and managed to reverse a top rope Crucificx Powerbomb into a pinning hurricanrana to win the Cruiserweight Title. It's one of my favorite endings to a match ever lol.
Tokyo Egg Dome - Tokyo Japan March 30th 1991
Hulk Hogan & Genichiro Tenryu
VS.
The Road Warriors - Animal & Hawk
This is one of my favorite matches ever, because i have always really enjoyed seeing how different everything is in japanese lol. This was considered a dream match for japanese fans because hulk Hogan and Genichiru Tenryu were already bigtime fan favorites in Japan at the time. The japanese fans had heard stories about the Road Warriors and how they destroyed everyone that was put in their path and just like all stories - it got blown way out of proportion lol, So the Road Warriors had a pretty big reputation to fulfil in this match :) The match itself was pretty simple for most of the beginning, but once the tempers flared on both teams it became a hardcore free for all with trainers, fans and "young boys" (the term "young boys" is given to young japanese men who are training to be wrestlers. they stand around the ring during the match and watch, so they can learn) running into the match and trying to break up the mayhem lol. In the end, the Road Warriors managed to get back into the ring before the 10 count, so they won by Count-Out, but the japanese fans certainly got what they wanted thats for sure lol :)
Well, i suppose that will be all for this world today, im going to try to do some work on my other worlds and try to get some more posts done :) I hope you all enjoyed the visit and i thank you for coming :)
stay strong,
Yamcha
