Lead me to the road to dawn Chapter 1 Part 1

(Monday, before first block)
“Riku! Sora!”
The silver and spiky brown haired boys turned to see through the crowd that their red headed friend run up to them.
“Hey Kairi,” they said as she caught up with them.
It was a Monday morning in destiny high and all the students were tired and slightly lifeless. Because I mean, who even likes Monday mornings?
But seeing Kairi had made it better for Riku and Sora’s morning. They listened to her as she spoke of the plans for Tuesday night.
“So Naminé and I decided to have a sleep over party with all our friends, though the guys can leave early,” she added quickly.
Sora raised an eyebrow, “Will there be free food?”
Kairi rolled her eyes and grinned, “Well duh.”
“Awesome! Riku and I are so there!” Sora cried.
Riku shook his head, “No Sora, I won’t be there.”
Sora and Kairi pouted, Kairi asked Riku why he wouldn’t go to her party. He just shook his head again. Didn’t Kairi know that she was getting to old for those kinds of things? Didn’t she know that he wasn’t a woman?
Sora tugged on Riku’s sleeve, “Please?”
“No,” Riku stubbornly replied.
“Pleeease?”
“No.”
“C’mon Riku!” Kairi joined in.
“Ugh, okay fine. Just stop annoying me,” Riku sighed. Fine, if they wanted him to act like a little kid than so be it. Maybe the fact hadn’t sunk in that they were in high school.
“Thanks Riku!” Kairi and Sora said in unison.
Sora and Kairi didn’t notice it but behind them, Naminé, Axel and Roxas were right behind them, walking past the trio. Naminé, Roxas and Axel didn’t realize that fact either, so they kept walking. Roxas and Axel were listening to the rest of the plans they she and Kairi had for Tuesday.
“So are you guys going to the party then?” Naminé asked.
“Is there going to be free food?” Roxas asked with a suspicious tone.
“Of course there is, Roxy,” Namine replied.
“Then me and Axel are so gonna be there right?” Roxas cried, turning to Axel.
Axel just laughed and ruffled his hair, “Maybe, we’ll see about it squirt.”
Then they turned to a corner and disappeared.
Riku’s head was soon in the cloud as he thought about how similar his conversation was with Kairi and Sora and Roxas, Axel and Nami-
“Riku!”
Riku turned his head and stared at Sora, still lost in his daydream.
“Hey, earth to Riku! Riku! Riku! RIK-“ Sora tried to say but Riku cut him off.
“What?” He asked sharply.
Sora looked at Riku as if he had done the rudest thing ever, “Riku I was trying to ask you if you wanted to walk home with me and Kairi today.”
Still slightly distracted, Riku nodded. Kairi looked at her watch and gave a little gasp.
“Guys, if we don’t hurry were going to be late for class,” Kairi announced.
At the mention of the word “class” Riku snapped back into reality and pulled Sora and Kairi by the arms, “C’mon guys, or we’ll be late.”

(Still Monday, Lunch)
“Axel! Give me back my ice cream!” yelled Roxas as he tried to jump and get it from Axel’s hands. Axel had held it too high for Roxas to reach. Axel grinned.
“Axel I didn’t even get a bite of that!” Roxas complained as he reached again for his ice cream
Now knowing this, Axel smirked and lowered the sea salt ice cream to his lips and took a huge bite.
“AXEL!” Roxas cried angrily. He turned around and Axel tried to give him his ice cream back.
Roxas was disappointed since he had to eat lunch with Axel today because Naminé was trying to convince Zexion to go to the sleepover party. Roxas sighed. Axel was such a jerk. He couldn’t believe that Axel would actually eat his ice cream. He looked across the cafeteria to see Naminé begging Zexion.
“Please Zex,” Naminé pleaded.
“No.”
“Pleease?”
“No Naminé, forget it,” Zexion sighed.
“Please with a cherry on top?”
Zexion ignored her.
“C’mon, Zexy I’m gonna lend you some books anyway!” Namine whined. Zexion looked at her and sighed.
“Fine,” he sighed, taking off his reading glasses, “Who else is going?”
“Well,” said Naminé thoughtfully, “Kairi already told me that Riku and Sora are going, and Roxas is going too. Axel’s coming… and Demyx too, and I think-“
Zexion cut her off, “Demyx is going?”
“Well, yeah, we have free food and stuff, why wouldn’t he go?” said Naminé.
“Okay I’m going,” Zexion sighed, putting on his glasses again, “Just leave me alone.”
“Thank you,” she said and headed back to her table. There, she found Axel trying to apologize to Roxas, and Roxas seemed very annoyed. Naminé sighed.
“Naminé!” cried Axel when he saw her, “Roxas is being mean to me!”
“I’m being mean?” Roxas nearly yelled, “You’re the one who took my ice cream!”
“See Nami, he’s yelling at me!” sniffed Axel.
“Am not!”
“Alright guys, just calm down for a second, “ Naminé sighed, “Axel, say sorry, and Roxas, accept his apology and forget this ever happened.”
“Whatever,” Roxas muttered.
Naminé sighed the twenty millionth time that day, and threw a package of sea salt ice cream at Roxas, who caught it, ripped opened the bag and ate happily. She hoped they would not act like this at the party.
