I'm trapped in my room right now, so I might as well write more of these. Why am I trapped in my room? Stupid allergies...stupid allergy season. My eyes have swollen up so bad, and they're all red and itchy and painful and watery...plus my nose is running and I can't stop sneezing. I've retreated to my allergen-free room and I'm hoping that this stops. Anyway, characters.
Mary: Kia's mother. She's about 5'3 with short, curly, fluffy light brown hair, blue-green eyes, and a long, round nose. She's kind of chubby and usually wears t-shirts, jeans, or sweatpants. She gets nervous easily. She spends a great deal of time in her garden.
Jeff: Kia's father. He's tall, with thinning blond hair, a round, tanned face, and blue eyes. He usually wears t-shirts and jeans. He was very active before the takeover and did a lot of work around the house. Now the only work to be done is trying to wrap some of the bigger holes in the apartment walls with tarp because when it rains, the inside of the building floods. He's good-natured usually, but can become short tempered and impatient when stressed, tired, or hungry.
Kim: Jeff's older sister, Kia's aunt, mother of Simon and Ky. She's pretty tall--about 5'11 or so--and very thin. She has shiny, straight brown hair down to her shoulders, bangs, and blue eyes. She travels a lot and loves to ski. She is also recently engaged to Ellie, so she is stepmother to Austin and Cody. She's very energetic and upbeat.
Ellie: She is engaged to Kim, So now she is Simon and Ky's stepmother as well as Austin and Cody's mother. She is tall, with short auburn hair and blue eyes.
Austin: Ellie's older child. He is nine, with brown hair, light brown eyes, and an unbelievable amount of energy.
Cody: Ellie's younger child. He is seven, and looks like a small version of his brother except for the fact that his smile is missing a couple of teeth. He's quieter than Austin, off in his own world at times. He likes to goof around and be with his family.
Lina: Jeff's younger sister. She's tall with long light brown/dirty blond hair, a long, thin face, and blue eyes. She's very energetic and quick to voice her opinion. She loves horses and children.
Becca: Mary's younger sister. She has shiny blond hair, green eyes, and a long, round nose. She is a bit chubby. She wears very fashionable clothes. Her full name is Rebecca. She is married to Kia's uncle Jake. She and Jake were working against the Officials, and Kia found out, which was lucky, because during the takeover, Kia thought to save Becca and Jake's children, who would have been abandoned. Now Becca and Jake are missing. Kia also saved their dog, Gooey, a hyper and rambunctious black Lab who drives everyone crazy.
Jake: Kia's uncle is tall with short brown hair, brown eyes, and a broad, tanned face. He is chubby and likes boating, scuba diving, and watching TV. He is very against the Officials when he first discovers their plan.
Evan: Becca and Jake's older child. He is small and skinny with gold hair and round brown eyes. He's four years old and does not like the separation from his family at all.
Avie: Avie's not his real name, but no one calls him by his real name anymore. He's Becca and Jake's younger child, two years old. He looks like his brother, except he's a little broader--more solid. He's also more adventurous. Hyper and clumsy, Avie wants constant motion and entertainment.
Beta: Avie and Evan's cousin (Jake's sister's daughter). She's two years old. She's small and pudgy with brown curly hair, wide brown eyes, a round face, and lips that naturally form a pouting expression. She is adorable. She gets along well with other children. She's very sweet and willing to go along with what others want to do. She has a very high energy level and a very short attention span. Becca and Jake were babysitting her when the takeover began. Kia rescued her and has been attempting to contact Beta's mother so that she can return the little girl to her family. Until then, Beta lives with Kia's family.
Izzie: Mary's youngest sister. Her full name is Isabel. She's thin but has large hips from recently having two children. She has sleek, shoulder-length brown hair, a clever, cheerful face, and blue eyes. She loves her kids very much. She agrees to come and live with Kia's family because Kia tells her about rescuing Evan, Avie, and Beta. She is too busy to help take care of them (She has her own kids, one of them a newborn) but thinks that it might reassure them to have a familiar person living with them, because she lived near them before the takeover. She also has a dog, a large white Samoyed named Layla.
Richard: Izzie's husband. He's big and broad and cheerful, with short auburn hair, a stubbly auburn beard, and blue eyes.
Sean: Izzie and Richard's son. He's two years old. He's pale and has soft blond wispy hair and big blue-gray eyes. He has a small face but when he smiles he has chipmunk cheeks. When he's happy, everyone's happy. He has a smile that just lights up his face and a contagious giggle that comes easily and naturally. He loves people but can be a bit shy when he first meets them or when there's too many of them. He likes songs and stories.
Sage: Sean's little sister, a newborn baby. Basically looks like any newborn baby: impossibly tiny, pink, and uncoordinated. I don't know what color her eyes are yet, because she's one of the characters I based off a real person...but I haven't met her yet. I'll let you know when I do meet her.
Chase: Sean and Sage's cousin. She's ten years old. She has curly red hair and brown eyes. She's Richard's niece. She was hoping to earn some money by walking Izzie and Richard's dog for them when the takeover began. They waited, but her parents never came to get her, and they decided that she'd better go with Izzie and Richard.
