More story!

Well, this is new! So I've decided to introduce Sunhollow's character, Lora, and her pet, Kindra...I'll give them a quick introduction here...

Lora is 21 years old. She has long black hair, she is Japanese, she wears glasses, a long black skirt and a white blouse. She also wears long white socks with white tennis soes. She's quiet and is not one for small talk. She is appreciative of silence and thinks a lot about the world and future. She's had healing powers all her life, (well, for as long as she can remember) but no one knows how. Possibly a mutation from the Officials' earliest experiments?

Lora recently acquired a pet, Kindra, who is a mutant mushroom. It can walk and talk (sort of like a Goomba, as Sunhollow explained it.)Kindra is white with three thick legs that support a spherical head with two wide eyes and a large mouth. Kindra's a type of mutant called a Mycelin. Mycelin tend to be bossy and rude, but Kindra is not. Kindra is very accurate about predicting the weather and sleeps a lot.

So...tell me how it is, Sunhollow! Oh, by the way...what is Lora's job? The story starts with her going to work. So what does she do?

Perspective: Lora

I was heading out that morning to go to work. I was a little late because Kindra said that if I waited a little longer, the rain would probably stop fully, and Kindra was more accurate than the local weather forecaster. There wasn't much about the day that said it would be unusual...except that everything had been unusual lately. I was thinking about the fact that all these strange things happening were probably connected in some way. The new people leading the world, a couple of new mutant species...Kindra's existence. Someone else probably would have contacted the government. The media. But while I've been called naive before, I didn't really trust the new government. And I never knew anyone who fully trusted the media. I opened my front door and was greeted by cheerful sunshine and sparkling raindrops left on the grass.
The raindrops were not the only thing on the grass.
Lying in the middle of my lawn was a small pale girl. She was so still, her eyes closed, her long dark hair wet and tangled like she'd been out in the rain. Her plain blue dress was soaked in blood, which smeared her arms and legs. She must have dragged herself there before passing out. I knew immediately who she was, and what people said about her, but none of it mattered now. This girl was bleeding, dying on my lawn. I hurried to her and knelt. The rain from the grass soaked the bottom of my skirt as I carefully eased my arms under her limp body. She felt delicate--I could really feel her bones, like she hadn't been eating enough. I hurried to get her into the house. I knew if I acted quickly, I could save her. I could save Aurora Venidal, the one they said was one of the most dangerous human beings alive.

More later. I have to go eat now. Tell me how it is, Sunhollow!
