Kira sat in a forest in the Soul Society and stared up at the sky. She wasn't really called upon much by others so she usually had a lot of free time. She sat up and yawned. She had heard what happened to Lieutenant Kotone, Captain Durante, and Ms. Winters but there was nothing she could do.
'Oh well...they'll send a hell butterfly if they need me.' She thought as she pulled out a book and began reading. Kira's body shot up as a powerful reiatsu blasted down on her. Clang! Sword met sword, her book dropped, as an Arrancar grinned wildly at her.
"Well what do we have here? A shinigami slacking off? Hm-mm...wonder if you'll die tonight." The Arrancar said. Kira pushed him away and glared at him.
"Who are you?" she snarled. The Arrancar grinned at her.
"Aion Sinner. Remember that as you die, little miss. Now. Who are you?" Aion stated. Kira glared at him and raised her sword.
"Lt.Kira Matsumoto of Division 6." she answered. Then the fight began.
Kira charged at him and their swords clanged together as Aion met her force. He smirked at her as he pushed her off and kicked her in the gut. Kira flew away and crashed into a tree, blood flying from her mouth at the impact. She looked at Aion again and felt fury rise in her at his smirk. She stood up and looked at him with a sort of liquid fire in her eyes.
"Burn him to dust, Houka Mitsukai!" she called. Her sword erupted in flames and changed. Aion's smirk melted off his face.
"Getting serious now, are we?" he taunted. Bad Move. Kira flash stepped and her sword stabbed him in the stomach, then her fist punched him in the face, sending him crashing into a tree and bringing it down with him. She flash stepped over to him and looked at him in disgust before stabbing his heart and watching his blood flow out of him as he disintegrated. She looked at herself and frowned at the blood staining her clothes.
"Great. Now I've gotta go back to the division and change." She muttered but made no move to move from the clearing, sighing happily as the wind caressed her.
