*RANT*

(Before I continue, I would like to say, most of you would probably find this boring. The following is just some of my thoughts on belief and believing. Its basically a rant. you might find it entertaining and you might not. Just remember, you've been warned )

What is believing?

A lot of people feel that seeing is believing. The feel that if they see something with their own eyes they can believe it without a doubt. but is that really true? Think about it, if an alien came down to earth in a UFO right in front of you and spoke to you, would you believe that it was real? or would you immediately think it was a trick of some sort. You would probably try to rationalize it and put it into terms that you are comfortable with and can understand. You might say that you don't believe what you see even though it's right in front of you. The same is pretty much true for all the other questionable things out there, big foot, unicorns, pegasus, mermaids, fairies, ghost, demons, etc. If you were to see these things you would probably dismiss it as not real or its some type of trick.

I think the reason for such disbelief in the unknown is because people are scared. They are afraid of the unknown even if its not real, they are afraid to even open there minds up to such possibilities as aliens and vampires or some type of superior being who could end them in seconds. Due to this fear they try to put it into terms that they can understand. They warp the idea or concept into something less terrible and more acceptable to them and the things that they know. i also think that people see things (such as the ones mentioned previously) as too much for them to take, it such a huge concept that they can't take it all in or even be comfortable with it being real or not real."

People say what can't be proven by science is not real. But I think science can't explain everything, there are things that people just don't know or won't even know at all.Now I have nothing against science its whatever. But, does everything need to be explained? Do we really need to know the reason why to everything? Not to mention, how do we even know what people are telling us is the truth? Sometimes it seems that if you can get one person to believe something then you can many others to believe it and then what ends up happening is that so many people believe something but they have no proof or evidence to even know or find out if its true or not. Then because everyone else says its true, it must be true right? It's kinda like gossip in a way, you can say person X has a big head, then person A spreads it to the rest of the alphabet and then before you know it they all think person X has a big head and it becomes a fact even if no one ever saw this person X to verify that he did, in fact, have a big head.

Now this is just a thought, but really all this science mumbo jumbo, I'm sure they could say anything and as long as they make it sound intelligent and make up some random crap to go along with it, most people will believe it simply because a scientist said it, someone who is deemed to have a lot of intelligence.

Well that's just what I think anyways. Quite honest, my thoughts don't matter much and I'm pretty sure most people won't even read this or even comprehend what I am trying to say. Well, that's it for my little rant. Hope I didn't bore you too much.

byyyyyyyyyyyyyye ^_^
