It's true I think. Just today I was helping cleaning up stuff out of our basement and my room and I really had trouble letting go of some of my things. My mother just vaguely suggested giving two dolls that I found to some younger girls we know and I immediately said know and grabbed them away. Sure, some things I was okay to get rid of y'know, doll clothes and shoes that didn't have pairs, papers I drew on and stuff like that, but some of the bigger things I didn't want to get rid of.
My old Harry Potter backpack from when I was five was one of them. It's too small to be of any use but I was insistent on keeping it. Anything from my childhood I was reluctant to get rid of and I find it weird. I had to look away so I wouldn't complain when I noticed my mom throwing out my Easybake oven. I still have my old Pokemon Gold game and old iPod even though neither work. I have every pair of glasses I've ever owned. (Which...is only two others so it's not as bad.)
It seems that I mainly seem to be like this for my old toys because they really hold sentimental value. My dad wanted to throw out an old binder that I never use but I wanted to keep it because it had signatures from my friends from middle school. At least I think they hold sentimental value.
Also, it's MY stuff goddammit! Mineminemine. I am selfish. D: I'll clean when I WANT.
...Yeah.
