You promised you would always be there for me
You promised that you would understand my feelings and me
You promised you would never lie to me
Or keep secrets from me
But you see I know you were lying to me
Even as you said those words
I was looking right into your eyes
As you promised me these things
Your eyes are what gave you away
They are what told me you were just saying them
Not meaning them
Just saying them to keep me happy
To keep me quiet
You didn't realise that it would be all backfire on you
That its because of your lies to me
That I'm not sitting here
