Now that its warmer and pleasant around here again, I managed to get out today. Spent my gift cards on Dragon Ball Z Kai Parts 2 and 3. They still didn't have Part 1, just like when I was there a couple weeks ago. Hopefully there will be some in their new shipment tomorrow. If not, I either wait (their site says it's on backorder) or give in to impatience and order through Right Stuf.
Unfortunately, my laptop is refusing to turn on tonight (borrowing dad's laptop intead), even though it was working just fine yesterday. Even unplugged, it just wont start. I can only guess that the power grid or starter mechanism is busted. Looks like I'm going to Best Buy tomorrow regardless. I'll need the Geek Squad in on this one.
UPDATE:
Took the laptop in, and they fiddled with it a bit to no avail. The guy said the motherboard may be fried, so they have to send it out, which will probably take a few weeks. Meh...
Also, our Best Buy no longer stocks DBZ Kai Part 1 in the store, since they've cut how much anime they carry after they remodled the place. Looks like I'll have to order it after all.
So, Christmas is over and gone. Let's see what happened...

Seems an appropriate time for a health update.
I took my last antibiotic pill on Thursday. By Saturday, the nausea was clearing enough that I could finally eat more. I can tell you after a week of nothing but small portions of mashed potatoes or pudding, I was starving.
Although I still have some breathing issues (I need to get started on breathing exercises), I went out last night when I got a call from my friend Garrett. After weeks on my back for the most part, I welcomed the chance. Luckily I didn't have to deal with much boozing this time, since everyone gathered was more interested in watching the UFC tournament on pay-per-view than drinking. Plus I also played a Wii for the first time. Super Mario Bros., though, so I used the wand more like an normal controller, but it was cool.
If anyone's interested, Turner Classic Movies is playing Santa Clause tonight at 2 AM Eastern time. Yup, THAT Santa Claus. The Mexican classic that pits Santa against the Devil.
