A little while ago at 11 PM, a call came in from my aunt in North Carolina informing us that my grandpa (Mom's dad) passed away this evening. According to dad the nurses found him in his chair when they came in to get him ready for bed, so at least he passed away quietly.
He's been in ill health and living in an assisted living facility for some years now, so we've been expecting this to happen eventually. I wasn't all that close to him so I'm not broken up about it, although I am glad he didn't have a heart attack or anything that made him suffer at the end.
Once again, every post on the main page of The Watercooler is a chat ad. LOL.
In other news, it's been raining a lot here since Monday. While we desperately needed the rain due to dry conditions so severe that the state was dealing with a brush fire situation, it's also been raining enough that some people are beginning to have flood problems. It's like too much of a good thing, I guess. It's a good thing we had grandma's roof redone over the weekend, not a moment too soon. I just hope I don't get leakage into the corner of my room again. At least all those towels are still there from last summer when that tropical storm dumped on us for a whole week.
I found Funimation's You Tube channel, and I'm currently watching the first episode of the Ouran High School Host Club dub. It's mildly freaking me out... I never saw it subbed so I have no point of comparison (although they have the subbed episodes too, so I may just do that), but I can kind of understand how some people don't care for it. The voice of Kyouya just seems too deep for his appearance... Just from looking at him, I feel she should have a lighter voice.
Ah well, I'll keep watching until I like it or my brain explodes, whichever comes first. XD
