I havent been to a dentist in years, mostly due to these factors:
- My last dentist was the pediatric dentist I've had since forever, and it was already getting awkward going to him as I moved into my 20s. Suffice it to say, it was well past time to move on to a proper dentist.
- Going to university in another city and only being home on weekends and holidays makes it difficult to schedule and appointment.
- The bacterial infection made me sick for a long time and that was out highest priority to deal with.
But today I finally had a dental appointment. I went to see Dr. Stagg, who my parents go to. I've met her before, but never as a patient. She's a nice lady, and does more than just the average dental exam, taking more of a whole-body approach to dental health.
Today was just a preliminary, making extensive and complicated notes of my dental condition. My mouth feels thoroughly abused, and my very sensitive gag reflex got a workout o_O
In a couple of weeks we go back for a consultation and a cleaning.
