Day Four: A site

Day one: a song
Day two: a picture
Day three: a book/ebook/fanfic
Day four: a site
Day five: a youtube clip
Day six: a quote
Day seven: whatever tickles your fancy

As the title says, today is the day to share a website. Last time I posted links to the three sites that work together to satisfy my music needs. While it was tempting to do something obvious like Doctor Who site, I didn't want to be obvious, so I'm going to try something that I've only recently discovered.

The Night Land is a site dedicated to the fandom of the novel of the same name by William Hope Hodgson, a piece of dark scifi/horror set in a future millions of years distant when the Sun is burned out and the Earth is all but dead, the last of humanity surviving inside the Great Redoubt, a fortress built to keep out the evil and horrifying creatures roaming a world bathed in eternal night. This novel would later go on to inspire H.P. Lovecraft in his own writing.

The site includes artwork, fan fiction related to the Night Land universe, critical essays of The Night Land and Hodgson's works in general, a timeline of the future as portrayed in the novel, and a forum among other thins.

Hodgson's works are now in the public domain. HERE is a site where you can read The Night Land as well as other stories.
