Been a while since I posted any music and digging around my saved links I found a few things I'd saved and forgot about.
"Elizabeth" is a song trilogy by the band Kamelot from their album Karma. The songs concern Elizabeth Bathory, the infamous countess who bathed in the blood of virgins because she thought it would make her younger.
Elizabeth I: Mirror, Mirror
Starting off the trilogy is a quiet and haunting piece starting at the beginning, with Elizabeth's fears of old age and the action that led to her crimes.
Elizabeth II: Requiem for the Innocent
Next is something more majestic in a spooky way as Elizabeth sets about her twisted scheme to regain her youth.
Elizabeth III: Fall From Grace
And finally a faster number with shredding guitar and double bass drums as Elizabeth is caught and punished.
