Ever since Russel T Davies announced that he would soon bow out as executive producer and lead writer of Doctor Who, fans have been wondering who would replace him.
And now our prayers have been answered in the best way possible.
The BBC Press Office has announced that Steven Moffat will take over Russel's post starting in Season 5! Read the full article here.
I have been praying to the Who-gods for this to happen. Moffat is absolutely the best choice for the job, because he is a brilliant writer. Episodes he has penned for the new series are:
- Season 1: The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances
- Season 2: The Girl In The Fireplace
- Season 3: Blink
- Season 4: The upcoming Silence In The Library/Forest Of The Dead
Moffat's stories are consistently among the best of the series, and with him taking the reins, I forsee even greater things ahead for Doctor Who...
EDIT:
And to tack on something I keep forgetting to mention, if you're a Who-fan and haven't subscribed to the new Doctor Who catagory on TheO, you should go do so ^^
I'm not the only person doing Doctor Who work around here, though I'm probably the most currently active. But I'm trying to drum up some more content for the catagory ^^
