The Dental Adventures Continue

It was back to the dentist today, but only for a consultation this time; she didn't do any digging around in my mouth.

She went into detail about the various things wrong with my jaw and bite. I'll need appliances to wear to help correct the bite as well as prevent more grinding. I'm going back on Monday for all the diagnotic work, which will take a couple of hours.

The only issue that needs to be resolved is what kind of night time appliance I should have. The dentist would like me to go through a sleep study to see if I have any breathing issues that would indicate then what kind of appliance I should wear while sleeping. We're going to have to work that out with my cardiologist; since I have a pacemaker, results from a typical sleep study would be all messed up.

Not much else going on, other than both of my recent CD orders showed up in the mail today. I will be listening to a lot of good music this weekend. Here's what I got:

Porcupine Tree - Lightbulb Sun (CD/DVD-A Rematser): The last PT studio album I needed to have the complete set.

Opeth - Watershed (CD/DVD Limited Edition): Their brand new album, along with a bonus DVD of interviews and studio footage.

Abigail's Ghost - Selling Insincerity: Prog rock band from Louisiana with a style similar to PT.

Marillion - Misplaced Childhood (2 CD): Another classic from the era when Fish was the band's vocalist. Has the song "Kayleigh" on it.

Seventh Wonder - Waiting In The Wings: Another great Prog metal band from Sweden that went from mediocre to amazing when they found the right singer. Similar to Circus Maximus.

Stride - Imagine: Prog band from Texas that has a vibe that is part Dream Theater and part Magnitude 9. Their debut was all instrumental, but for this album they managed to snag an amazing vocalist.

Heh, yeah it's not even the end of the first week in June and I've already ordered six CDs. I'm sitting on my hands now, don't worry. I'll only buy more if it's an absolute-can't-live-without situation (like the upcoming Sylvan live concert DVD & CD).
