OK, so...

Yesterday I went on the annoyingly long trip up to the hospital to see the pulmonologist again about the recent coughing/blood issue. Had a CT scan, saw the doc, talked about things, and here's the outcome:

  • I'm on a 10-day course of antibiotics as a precaution in case there might be re-infection of the right lung.
  • Bloodwork indicated a lowered oxygen saturation (not surprising) so I'm going to wear a O2 monitor tonight to record the saturation of an extended period. Thankfully it's just a finger clip like they use in doctors' offices, so it shouldn't be so annoying I can't sleep.
  • Once I'm done with the antibiotics I'm going to slowly start on a regimen of breathing and stretching exercises.
  • We're buying a hospital bed from Monica (uncle's gf... ex-gf... idk anymore) to replace my flat bunk bed I've had since forever. This way I can adjust my bed to sleep with my head inclined properly, and I won't have to sleep in the living room recliner anymore.

So that's the score for now. Hopefully with all this hoopla I'll get to feeling better, more back to normal. I'd really like to be. -3-;
