Podcasts, Eclipses, and Kai

So, after months of preparation and working out all the details, we finally recorded the podcast with Ichigo last night. I have to say... it was epic and baller. I remember listening to Anime Pulse years ago when I first joined, and thinking how cool it would be to do that because the guys sounded like they had lots of fun. And now, I've done it. Much thanks again to Ichigo for giving Kat and myself the opportunity to join him.

The funny thing was how long it took to get everything done. The whole process lasted several hours, when I only thought it would last one, maybe two. But I shouldn't be surprised, since we weren't doing a standard show with news.

Later on, I went out to see the eclipse. I almost didn't, because I didn't want to go out in the cold on my own (yeah, I'm lazy). But my parents got up to see it, so I went out with my dad to watch, and he got to show off a bit, pointing out constellations. I'm glad I saw it after all. Like Raina was telling me, it was a once in a lifetime experience.

And last but not least, I've recently been catching episodes of Dragonball Z Kai. For years I've poo-pooed DBZ, thinking I'd grown up beyond it. Guess I was wrong, 'cause it's brought back all the memories of why I loved watching it back in highschool. I like how Kai has cut out the filler, getting down to the meat of the story. I seriously want to get this series on DVD now.

And just to be gratuitously nostalgic, I went hunting for my all-time favorite Toonami DBZ intro.
